Super friendly guy!

Location in the old town near shopping for resupply (I was hiking the Jordan Trail) and the castle. It’s simple but clean, fit the bill for me. The hostel is associated with a restaurant and the guys running the show are very pleasant and try to be of assistance as much as they can.

There is no signage since the hostel is essentially an apartment with four rooms and a bath. The reception is at the restaurant one block over. If a local had not taken pity on me, I am not sure that I would have figured it out, tired as I was.

Great location and good communication from staff. Also a 20% discount if you eat at their restaurant.

Poor internet connection at times.

A super comfy bed and a guest kitchen was a bonus. The location is great and the staff really friendly. The other brother runs the restaurant which has tasty food.

The bed is really really comfortable! The shower is good and inside the room, wifi is working well, and the owner is really nice. You have 20% off their restaurant and it is very tasty food! We enjoyed our stay a lot, I recommend 100%

The hospitality and kindness extended to us by the brother of the owner truly exemplified the spirit of Jordanian hospitality. Despite our unexpected delay and arrival well past midnight due to being stuck in the desert, he waited patiently to welcome us. One of the highlights of our visit was indulging in their freshly made juices, which were incredibly refreshing and offered at a very reasonable price of just 2 JOD. It's not often you find such quality and value in a tourist destination. Furthermore, the added perk of complimentary access to the castles was a delightful surprise. Exploring these historical landmarks gave us a deeper appreciation for the local culture and history. Additionally, the owner's recommendation to visit nearby local restaurants enriched our culinary experience and allowed us to savor authentic Jordanian cuisine. A particularly noteworthy aspect of our stay was the convenience of having the tourist police station nearby, just a short 7-minute walk from the establishment. This provided us with a sense of security and ease during our explorations.The warmth of the staff, the delectable juices, the complimentary castle access, and the helpful guidance truly made our visit to Jordan a memorable one

While my overall experience was positive, there were a couple of minor issues that detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. Firstly, there was a persistent smell of mothballs in the house, likely due to the practice of using them to prevent moth damage to clothing. This scent was quite noticeable and somewhat unpleasant, particularly in the living areas. It would be beneficial for the establishment to find alternative methods for moth prevention to improve the overall ambiance for guests. Additionally, in one of the rooms, the air conditioning unit was not functional. Upon inspection, it was evident that the apartment had undergone renovations, and the placement of the electrical outlet for the AC unit was inconveniently positioned next to a light switch. This made it impossible to plug in the AC unit and use it effectively, resulting in discomfort during colder weather. While these issues were relatively minor, they did impact the overall comfort and satisfaction of our stay. Addressing these concerns could significantly enhance the experience for future guests and ensure a more enjoyable stay.
