Eden Grove 2 Bed Holiday Retreat With Hot Tub

Easy to find house with parking, peaceful and relaxing with secluded garden. All the things you can need for the holiday. Hot tub was fabulous to relax in after days out hiking. Comfortable beds. Close to Ullswater and other local hikes. Appleby was a quaint town with great butchers, river side, park and coffee shops.

Hot tub had no instructions, but fairly easy to work out how to remove cover and turn on. No bubbles in one area and was unsure how to adjust, but did not affect our stay. Maybe some instructions? Had an email about rubbish and taking to a carpark in locked store. Could not find, luckily cleaner arrived as we left and said incorrect information. Need to update email information

The decor was modern, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was great, especially having the little wooden gazebo over it, plus the garden was really private. Loved the little touch of the welcome card, fizz and chocs, and the games available under the coffee table. Location was super quiet and close to a lovely pub. Lots of towels provided and utensils for the kitchen, including an air fryer. Very impressed with the property.

Only thing I could suggest would be curtains in the bedrooms. There are blinds but it does get quite bright in the mornings.

The location was ideal for our needs. The property was clean and the hot tub was lovely, although we did not use often (reasons below). The layout of the property is good and whilst there was just the two a family would be very comfortable in the space. There is good access to the main A66 for going north and south within the lake district.

We had an issue with shower it was dangerously hot and the temperature was unable to be regulated . The housekeeper could not fix the issue, nor could the plumber as it was under warranty. The solution offered was to use the rain shower which was no more than a dribble. We lost a day waiting in for the plumber who did not show on the first given date. The lack of a fully functioning shower did restrict our use of the hot tub as a shower afterwards took far longer than it should have. The manager offered us compensation, stated he would discuss with his manager, then went silent and did not respond. I raised a enquiry via booking.com to which someone else told me to contact after Christmas, I have and no response received. This is disappointing given it was their suggestion for compensation rather than ours. Also the property is on an estate which there is ongoing building work. The access road was muddy and there was building nose which could be heard throughout the property during their working hours. This is not made clear when booking.

Great location, amazing house, the hot tube is top!Highly recommended and looking to go back.
