Isla Villas & Suites

While there are much nicer beaches near Rethmyno, the neighbourhood was great and had some great places to eat and there was fun stuff to do at the beach, even though is was small and very busy. The accomodation was spacious with bedrooms on different floors - great place to stay if you want to avoid the people you're travelling with?

The propieters of this place should probably not be in a front-facing, customer-focused business. They refused to give us more than one key despite being 4 x people, shirked responsibilities for multiple things that went wrong and were generally pretty unfriendly. They have done everything to minimize running costs - really annoying air conditioning that shuts out if you even open anything making it really difficult to come and go from the pool. But the main thing really was that owner we spoke to was very rude and should be kept away from dealing with customers, so that clearly filters down to the rest of the staff. The staff were aggressively shouting and arguing with each other in the cafe in the evenings. Very unhappy and weird vibe. It's a shame as it is one of those places that could be great under different management.

L’accueil, la qualité du lieu et les équipements à la hauteur de ce qu’on attendait. Le petit restaurant et supermarket dessous les villas sont très pratiques aussi

Une petit odeur de renfermé à notre arrivée et l’entourage de grand hôtel autour, mais les images le montraient bien, donc pas de surprises désagréables.

Lovely spacious villa close to the beach and restaurants

We loved the property and its location was superb. Lovely staff in the Isla Cafe below who were attentive and welcoming. The pool is fabulous with lovely morning sun and afternoon shade from about 5pm. The servicing everyday was excellent and the facilities for washing and cleaning were spot on. The bedroom arrangement in the three bedroom villa is excellent for a family of four. Privacy and space.

The quality of finish in the bathrooms was not top notch. The middle bathroom brought a ‘biblical flood’ with every wash.

Villa was clean, serviced everyday and had everything we needed.

We were in the basement so the back bedroom had no natural light.
