My Old Family Home (with parking near centre)

The apartment is spacious, quite clean, and the bedding was neat and clean. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The written instructions for independent entry into the apartment and garage are excellent, and there were no problems during check-in and check-out. A garage space is reserved in the basement of the building, 2.2m high, in a locked area, and an elevator to the apartment. It has a small balcony for drinking morning coffee in the open air :)

Some things are torn but still functional. (eg a wobbly wall shelf, missing handles on cabinets and similar little things).

relatively good location when it comes to public transport, but the instructions on how to reach the place via car are too general. someone living in Budapest is probably familiar with what it's like getting around the area, but visitors will probably need more input especially regarding all the one way streets.

This might be due to cultural differences, but the hosts were ridiculously unprofessional The check in was supposed to be straightforward but we ended up waiting for 2h for the key. While waiting we were first told we didn't do something right when looking for the key then we were told that the cleaning crew made a mistake and lastly that it was the previous visitors. We've missed an appointment we had on the first day because of them and they were absolutely rude and unprofessional handling the whole situation. The owner gave us a number which we were told we could use in case there's an issue. We ended up paying 35 eur by using said number to communicate in roaming while they were wasting our time with the excuses. In the end I asked at the very least for the money we spent on the messages (as they didn't accept our call which is covered in my data plan) and we were once again told an excuse for what happened. They also said they prefer communicating via Booking only after we've already spent the money and in spite of them giving us the number in the first place. We obviously didn't have internet access because we couldn't enter the apartment so messages via Booking weren't an option. Apart from that: the balcony was really dirty and it felt a bit icky spending time there, the furniture is quite old and also felt a bit dirty (the pictures they used look much brighter), we had to struggle opening and closing the balcony door which is kinda broken I guess, the shower curtain covers a third of the bath tub so getting a shower was pretty inconvenient (which is visible from their pictures I guess but it wasn't so clear it's going to be such a hassle)

The apartment is quite big and fully equiped. It was cleaned well, The safe for keys was excellent described. The parkplace in the garrage is great bonus in Budapest. Super location, near to subway and bus.

The furnished apartment is quite old and doesn´t smell very fresh.
