Seaview Palms Villa - St Croix USVI

Cute little home and I liked the separation of the bedrooms for privacy. The pool was a nice touch. We had everything we needed for our stay (other than a generator would have been nice for power outage during the tropical storm/wapa). Plenty of cooking utensils, plates, cups, a lot of extra spices and items too. The extra large showers were AMAZING! Along with large rooms. A/C in bedrooms and living room when needed. Easy access to home and the host was amazing with correspondence both during booking, during our stay, and even offered to let us stay an extra day due to the storm and flight cancellations. They were amazing! The grounds are lush and landscaped beautiful. Nice little added touch with the history of the homes there, located at the home. I would highly recommend this place and the hosts!

Pool was constantly dirty due to the trees (not the owners fault) but it was a chore daily to dig everything out. Would have been nice to have access to the pool vacuum. The location was pretty far from most of the great beaches/snorkeling areas so you must rent a car (we knew this going it but may be important to others). It has a grill (and we used it once to cook out) but when the tropical storm came and we were counting on it to be able to cook food (no electric) it no longer worked or would light the burner. The home is the last one along the sidewalk so a little bit of a hike with luggage but manageable, others it may not be or a factor when booking. It is at the bottom of the hill/complex so you won't get much of a view of the ocean. Construction still going on with the roofs (not this home) but we were aware ahead of time and it didn't affect our stay since we were out exploring during most of the day.

The pictures are beautiful but they seriously don’t do this place justice with how beautiful it is! They provide floats/goggles/ snorkeling gear/ beach chairs/ two coolers/ tennis racks/balls. The fridge was well stocked with condiments. The bathrooms had shampoo conditioner and body wash. It was very clean! The location is beautiful and secluded on the East side of the island. We honestly loved everything about our stay and we can’t wait to come back! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

This isn’t even that big of a deal but the first few days of being there we had issues with the WiFi not working. The owners were very quick to respond to us and try and fix the problem as soon as they could. They even gifted us a gift card to a restaurant of our choosing for the troubles.

OVERALL: Beautiful property on the East side of St Croix. You will need to drive to restaurants but there are a few options nearby and it's about 18-20 min drive to Christiansted. There are some amazing beaches on the east side of the island that were never busy during our stay. HOUSE: The kitchen was extremely well stocked with a cute welcome gift of ginger beer, local vodka, and an 'island mule' recipe. The fridge had condiments and other helpful items in it. The house also had beach towels, plenty of snorkel gear, beach chairs, and a couple of small coolers which all enhanced our stay and were greatly appreciated. The vibe is very sophisticated 'island' with shutters that open to allow a breeze through on all windows but also air-conditioning units in bedrooms and living room in case it's too warm out, small but comfortable living room and dining area. CONCIERGE: The onsite concierge was also very helpful with great food recommendations and quick responses. POOL: There is a small but lovely view of the ocean from the pool deck. The pool is also well equip with floats and the deck area has a small shaded table & 4 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, and a small grill. WIFI: worked great!

CONSTRUCTION WARNING: Less than a week prior to our arrival (and well after the booking cancelation period), Jennifer & Linden informed us that roof work was being done at the property on a rotating basis & there could be some disruption. The work started at 5am on Monday morning with large trucks coming in and revving their engines. It turns out that there is a construction zone/prep area in the lot adjacent from the property (with trucks going right next to the 2nd bedroom windows). There was also another reviewer with the same problem on airbnb so it seems to be ongoing. It was quite disruptive the first morning but did get somewhat better as the week progressed (may have had more deliveries first thing Monday AM to get going for the week)? Would absolutely stay here again once the construction is done as this was the ONLY downside.
