Un sitio precioso. La casa está genial y es muy bonita con una gran cristalera para ver las vistas. ¡El jardín está genial!

Aparcar es un poco complicado si tienes coche grande. Recomiendo aparcar en el “parking” que se encuentra arriba.

La tranquilidad del lugar, sólo se oía el canto de los pájaros.

El baño no tenía techo, no sentía intimidad.

the last day when I got to leave

Ms. Magdalena, was abysmal to say the least. From the get go she started talking german to us while we had to convince her that we do not really speak that language (wth?); she begrudgingly then switched to english. She informed me that even though I followed their video on where to park and was in the spot shown on camera, I was not allowed to park there and was subsequently redirected to another parking spot which, due to poorly laid concrete (steep decline and a huge bump), made me beach the car. When asking for help to get out, she refused; I had to burn parts of my clutch to get out (think massive amounts of clutch smoke and smell). I then decided to not accept the accommodation and she became combatant, berating and accusing us of not wanting to find a solution. She then called her husband Mr. Jorg, and to my surprise told him that we refuse to talk german and are escalation the situation. Both me and my gf were dumbstruck considering I actually burned parts of my clutch exactly trying to find a solution. She blamed it on the car asking me to park on the street and not on their private parking (the main reason for choosing this exact property). At this point I handed her the keys and wanted to leave but since she already had Mr. Jorg on the line, I decided to talk to him. He immediately solved the situation by saying I can park in the spot shown on video. We agreed and Ms. Magdalena then said she'll leave the main gate open for us to move our bags inside. After I parked in the initial spot again and turned to the trunk to fetch some bags, she slammed the main gate behind her, effectively making us take the long way around (on a street with no sidewalks vs a private pathway). In no way shape or form does this apply to Mr. Jorg. He was awesome in communication, problem solving and calmness. The review does however apply to Ms. Magdalena. Additionally, the accommodation was always moist and there was also a camera pointing to its windows (not much privacy).

The garden and outdoor seating areas are very pretty. We were welcomed with fresh fruit in the house. There is a washing machine available for use. The house is spacious and nicely decorated inside.

We had hoped for a nice, relaxing week in Icod de los Vinos. Unfortunately, it was anything but relaxing. 1. Host's shocking behavior We have left over 50 reviews across Booking.com and Airbnb, and this is our first below 7. We understand that problems happen, but usually, hosts are kind and try to help. However, in this case, the hosts left us shocked. We booked this house for the advertised WiFi, as we had important work and family matters to handle. Upon arrival, the hosts informed us that the router in our house had some problems and suggested using a distant router that didn't work for us. After several days without internet, I asked for help and received these shocking responses: "Maybe you get yourselves some decent equipment… 🤷‍♂" and "We can argue about this (which I am not willing to do) OR you can find yourselves another place to sleep. But please don’t tell me what I have to do! ☝" As IT professionals, we know when a router isn’t working - this one wasn’t. I had to handle work and family matters from cafés where my devices connected without issues. Instead of help or an apology, we were blamed. 2. Location and weather The house is in La Vega, much higher up than the main part of Icod. In October, it was cloudy, damp, and around 18°C in the evening, while coastal Icod was sunny and 22°C. 3. Super steep and narrow driveway The driveway is extremely steep and stressful to navigate, even for experienced drivers. We’ve driven in many mountainous places, including La Palma, Madeira, Spain, Portugal, and Italy, but this driveway was particularly challenging and stressful. If you manage not to scrape your car or damage the clutch or brakes, consider yourself lucky. 4. Neighbourhood Although the house and garden were nice, the neighborhood wasn't.
