22A 2 Bedroom Flat close to city centre

I liked the location above anything else. It was near family. The beds were comfortable, & it was quiet at night, in spite of being on a busy road. There were also coconut biscuits available, which I enjoyed!

Overall, I felt the flat to be overpriced. It felt like the owners hadn't tried very hard to offer modern facilities, apart from the very large flat screen TV. Predominantly, there was an offensive sewerage smell present. There were a number of air fresheners around the flat that didn't effectively mask the smell.

Nothing... and I mean nothing!

Where to start.....!! The worst place we have ever stayed in. My poor wife and nieces were so upset and disgusted. As soon as we entered the flat there was an unpleasant smell. We had a quick look around and found it was extremely unclean. The duvet covers were stained, there was a large clump of hair hanging off a toilet door handle, the rugs were covered in hair, the bedroom drawers had nail clippings, hair and a false eyelash in some of them. The sofa has dubious stains on the leather. Then the kitchen.... a total health hazard ... it was disgusting. The tea towel was old and stained, the washing up pad was awful, over used and dirty... must've been so old. There was no way you could use it to wash up with. The radiator was filthy, there was food on the floor, the cutlery was dirty, the toaster was partly melted and full of old bread crumbs. The bathroom shower screen seal was broken and toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. There were no hand towels either. We needed to go straight out as we had booked events in town so had no time to find anywhere else to stay! I would have got my family out of there if I'd had time. We left our bags and went out. We got back late on Saturday night and went to bed.... no choice. My nieces slept in their clothes!!!. Sunday morning we had a proper look around, took loads of photos and got out of there! There were huge clumps of hair around the edges of the bedroom skirting boards and under the beds. It must be months or more since this flat was properly cleaned. The cheese grater had food on it, the kettle wasn't clean the kitchen drawers were dirty. It never ended....every room was awful. The light pull cords had turned black and grimy and one of window locks in the lounge is broken too. The very worst thing I found on sunday were 2 part eaten pizzas in the kitchen cupboard with a receipt attached from 4 weeks prior to our stay!!! Just unbelievable... I have complained to booking.
