The accommodation was lovely. Very clean. The beds were really comfortable. Excellent directions to get there. Graham was wonderful, and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Excellent communication.

Nothing we didn't like. Could maybe have shower products in the bathroom. Milk in the fridge on arrival. But that by no means was a problem.

Home from home, great location for our walking weekend. Everything provided and more. The beds were comfortable and had a very good sleep.

Just need a bin for the dog poo, if one was in the centre of Langwathby.

Beautiful accommodation. Lovely area, great hosts and nicely located. Easy to travel to by train. Trains are barely noticeable inside.

It's every bit as gorgeous as the pictures. Location fab and weirdly fun to be on a working station (soundproofing was incredible).Rooms are fairly small but cosy & they've put big (& very comfy) beds in. Loved the station green paint aa it really added to the cosy factor. My dad had the best sleep he's had in years... We went on the train to Appleby to look at the same style station but still in action. Loved that the ticket sales hatch is still visible in the master ensuite! The woodburner is 8kW so lots of power to heat the place & keep it toasty. Kitchen really well appointed, including a good quality coffee machine (game changer). They are about to renovate a side section to add the option of a small adjoining cottage- which would work well for my big family. Travelling with lots of kids in late teens requires good hot water for the showers & we never ran out...😁 Plenty of countryside nearby to explore obviously. Really loved this place. Can't wait to return...

We initially had a little bit of a problem with the heating system when we arrived and didn't know where the logs were stored (maybe add this to the visitor book?) & I was initially worried as we were to be wild swimming in January. I messaged the property & got a really swift reply. He remoted in and sorted it, for which I was really grateful. There were a few small items that would have been useful in the kitchen for people planning to cook rather than eat out. I messaged as constructive feedback & the owner came straight back, saying he'd buy those items, which I thought was great. Sometimes you only realise what is needed when you use the facilities & on the whole everything I needed was there including the soup turines & egg cups (we used them!).

We absolutely loved our stay at Langwathby Station - Scotsman and Yorkshireman. My wife, our 3-year-old daughter, and I were thoroughly impressed with this unique and charming property. The furnishings and furniture are beautiful, creating a cozy and welcoming ambiance that made us feel right at home. Our daughter was fascinated by the station setting, which added an extra layer of charm to the experience. Even though the property is located on a station, the trains passing through were surprisingly quiet and didn’t disturb us at all. It felt peaceful and relaxing, which made the location even more appealing. The kitchen was a real highlight – it was well-equipped with modern appliances, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which we really appreciated as a family. We also loved the convenience of the location. It’s just a 4-minute walk to a lovely pub and a convenience store, which made it easy to grab a meal or pick up essentials without needing to venture far. Overall, this was an ideal family getaway for us. The combination of charm, comfort, and convenience made it a truly memorable stay. We’d happily come back and highly recommend it to others!
