The Swiss hut 30 minutes from Copenhagen

This is one of those hidden treasures! It was such a fantastic experience. Both the cabin, the surroundings and the hosts. Not to forget the breakfast served on the lovely porch! We loved every minute of out stay.

Very cosy and Swiss ski themed hut, which is placed in beautiful surroundings with excellent hosts.

If you are looking for a large apartment with lots of facilities, you'd better look further. But if you are in for an unforgettable experience, with a magnificent breakfast and hosted by one of Denmark's top singer-songwriters, this is the place to be. The hut is decorated as a true Swiss ski hut with many details, and has a large veranda which more or less takes the place of the living room. Of the many places we stayed during our holiday, we will remember this one best...

Thomas and Maria were very nice and accommodating. We had a lot of questions and they answered very patiently and with a smile. The hut itself was charming and the yard/meadow is amazing. Very quiet and serene. Breakfast was above and beyond, very rich and diverse.

There were 2 main things which would make the stay much better. I think these are things that stood out to us more as tourists coming from outside Denmark. First is the shower. You can only take a very quick shower (max 4 minutes) before the hot water runs out. Then for another person to have hot water, you must wait for at least 50-60 minutes, which is very limiting. Anything less and you face an ice cold shower (speaking from experience). We stayed for 3 nights so this was an issue. If you stay for only 1 night, you can skip a shower and it's not such a big deal. Second is no WiFi. We did have a package from our local provider, but again, as tourists not having any wifi is a major inconvenience. A few more minor issues were the pillows which were not comfortable, and not having enough surface/hangers to put our personal belongings. Again, if you only stay for 1 night I assume this is not such an issue.

Beautiful peaceful country location. Rustic actual log cabin with a sauna in the cabin. Gorgeous views of their pastoral property. Absolutely wonderful hosts who totally made us feel at home. Ands served us the best breakfast we’ve had in three weeks of stating all over the west coast of Sweden and Denmark! Even had actual vinyl records from the sixties and seventies , plus an album recorded by our hostess Marie. Perfect!
