B&B La Terazza Sul Cielo di Maratea

Hard to get to, as it it is in mountainous village so climbing many stairs/steps is expected. Apartment was well appointed and very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful

Lovely, quiet, very interesting old city with major historic significance. Beautiful views and walks. Beautiful beach 3 km b car. Gracious hosts who spoke English. Beautiful, old home, beautifully restored and appointed.

Access by many stairs, but well mitigated by hosts.

simply top choice! alina and ermanno very accomnodating and helpful for any questions nice breakfast as room service from 8.00 am. cheerful and cosy furnishing, comfy bed, nice bathroom. central location with city and mountain view. great private terrave to enjoy and rekax. close to everything - bus at piazza vitolo some 5 min. (study timetables well!) only 60 cents! for 1 ride. maratea and beaches in area top and not too crowded. boat ride with marvin escursioni highly recommended. discover and enjoy unspoilt marate and basilicata.

Great location, spacious room and comfortable rooftop space.

This is the sweetest little bnb. We loved the location (only a short walk from the town center), the privacy and the spectacular view. We also loved our hostess Aline, who was kind and attentive. She’s responded quickly to our requests and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. This was our second time in Maratea to celebrate our anniversary and Aline baked us a delicious cake and even offered some homemade limoncello! We truly felt like we were returning home. We hope to be able to return here again.

We loved everything about this bnb. It was slow to get warm at first but once the heat kicked in we were very comfortable. We also could have used a microwave in the coffee area but that was no big deal.

Like the band's amplifier in the movie 'This is Spinal Tap', the rating for this accommodation should be "set on 11". It really is a special place. In the center of an ancient and charming Calabrian hill town, spacious, thoughtfully restored and decorated by the lovely young owners and a view from the large private balcony which is the Italy of your dreams. A generous and tasteful Italian (ie not North American) breakfast served in your anteroom. The attached photos are of (a) the apartment's private entrance, and (b) one of the perspectives from the balcony.

The young couple who run Suite La Terrazza are absolutely delightful. Communicating with them via WhatsApp was convenient and they immediately responded. Alina helped carry our luggage from a nearby parking lot through a maze of pathways to their lovely home/B&B. The room was cheerful, clean, nicely decorated and had modern bathroom facilities. A welcome bottle of wine awaited us.

The bed and pillows at Suite La Terrazza are hard and uncomfortable and did not suit our needs. There was a problem with the radiators due to the high winds and rain that evening and they only worked a couple of hours thus making sleeping warm and comfortably nearly impossible. Our conversation with our hosts the following morning about these issues was amiable. We do not want to discourage others from staying at Suite La Terrazza because we feel they will want to address these issues to be able to welcome other guests.
