Woodwick Mill - Kiln & Sheafy Apartments

Perfectly peaceful location in an exquisitely restored watermill with very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious living room and stunning views. The only background noise comes from the mill race - we loved the sound of the racing river!

There was nothing not to like! As seasoned self-caterers, we arrived with everything we needed. Just as well since there are no shops or eateries in the area! Advice to future guests - don’t assume that the ‘welcome gifts in the fridge’ referred to by a previous guest come as standard! Pick up what you need en route. Or request that the hosts put milk/bread etc. in the accommodation for your arrival, which they’re willing to do.

The location was brilliant - very quiet countryside and spectacular landscape and seascape, close to main archaelogical sites and the historic interest of the mill conversion.

Beautifully converted old building. Sturdy and very well laid out with modern plush facilities. Host was very helpful and welcoming !

Nothing. It’s on 3 levels so you need to be ok with stairs .

The thoughtfulness of the owners (Fiona & Callum) , They had household items and gifts in the fridge for us on arrival that we would never have expected & the apartment had everything we needed at hand. We stayed in the Sheafy which is the two bedroom apartment, the location is great, do not get bothered by anyone and the scenery and views from the apartment are fantastic. The apartment itself is very spacious and very modern, we loved it, and would highly recommend booking it up to anyone planning a visit to the Orkneys.

Having to come home, we will definitely be booking the Sheafy again next time we visit, but next time we will be staying for a week.

The layout of the property is amazing, and lends itself to the amazing unspoiled views from the top floor.

Nothing to comment on as my stay was flawless.
