NZThe location was stunning, we made use of the cider factory a couple of doors down as well as the walks in the area. There are plenty of fresh food stands to purchase free range eggs, avocado's etc. The hosts were amazing and the house is finished to a beautiful architectural standard.
NZThe location and house does have the wow factor when you drive in, the view is breathtaking. Someone really knows how to present a house with the Wow factor.
I thought we were booking a 2 bedroom place as shown on Booking .com but it is in fact a one bedroom with a separate bedroom below - sleep out below with bathroom. The hosts did let us know ahead of time, but its not what is described online, and it was too late for me to spend time finding somewhere else. Upstairs bed was firm but ok and new, Downstairs bed left my partner awake for hours - for this kind of money you expect a fantastic sleep in a comfortable bed in both rooms. The other thing that brought the rating down, is that there are no curtains on either side of the living areas, so you just feel exposed- its not a private feeling at all. The location and the exterior of the house is stunning! The bathrooms and interiors are considered and have a real wow factor. So all in all a good place to be if they upgrade the downstairs bed, so that you can get some sleep and put curtains up, so that you are not feeling like a fish in a fish bowl. The gardens, and surrounds are beautifully kept, and it really does have a wow factor when you drive in. The chocolate in the fridge was a nice welcoming touch, fresh coffee grounds and milk and they do provide body wash in the showers and great quality towels.
