El Barrio Boutique Hotel & Bar

Such a cute little gem in the middle of Canggu! Away from all the noise and very comfortable rooms. Gede was an awesome host and Tom is a great addition to the property. Would recommend! :)

The beds are extremely comfortable. We had an issue with the purple room , terrible smell from the AC and insane condensation but the staff were super helpful and put us in a different room. Pool area is quite nice.

The purple room is extremely small, dark and it had a bit of a smell, I believe mostly from the air con but it seemed a bit musty. Location is not great, one of the busiest intersections in the area but you cannot hear the noise. Overall, not good value for money compared to other hotels in Bali

Niks. Zwembad misschien ietsje kleiner dan op de foto. Het is sowieso niet groot, maar dat vond ik juist knus en lekker rustig!

Magnifique hôtel avec une décoration superbe, très confortable et un personnel adorable ! L’emplacement est également idéal. Je recommande les yeux fermés !

Service and views

Beautifully decorated with a really nice Cuban-style aesthetic, very Instagrammable. The pool area is lovely and a nice place to relax. The food looks great (although slightly on the pricier side). The host was good and very attentive via WhatsApp, and provided a clothes drying rail quickly when requested. The bedding was soft and comfortable. Stand outs were very helpful staff, very accommodating.

The WiFi was poor and definitely not what I would consider “high speed” as advertised, intermittent during our whole stay. We were moved to a room closer to the router after raising it, but it still wasn’t reliable. The linen and towels had a musty smell even after changing 4 times with cleaning staff although this was eventually resolved after speaking to manager. The room was very small and felt misleading compared to the photos. There was no fridge in the room, so could not keep beverages cold and storage was limited (only 4 coat hangers and no shelves). Had to ask staff not to smoke in the linen and towel building area because the smell was coming into our room through air con and bathroom fan. The air conditioning was not very effective. The bathroom door wasn’t solid, which caused privacy issues and let light in during the morning. Doors were difficult to close and lock properly, would only lock from the outside, with gaps that allowed bugs in and contributed to a damp/mildew feel. Soundproofing was also very poor, with little to no privacy from noise in other rooms and cleaners that are up and down the front of the rooms all day from 7am.

Fantastische styling, geweldige kamer, super schoon en de manager is mega behulpzaam. Fijne zwembadbedden. Er zijn wat restaurants op loopafstand (italiaan, vis, burger en een Indionesch restaurant) wat hoger geprijsd.

Locatie is wat verder weg van alles en er is een restaurant bij, met best ok eten, alleen personeel zit de hele dag op hun telefoon, daardoor mist het een beetje gezelligheid/vibe
