Best penthouse on 5av! Private pool! rooftop with ocean view

The location is very central and perfect to access restaurants, shops and the sea. However it is also incredibly noisy with street partying carrying on until at leat 2 or 3 am most nights! The main communal roof top pool was nearly always deserted, so it felt like a private pool. This was great as the 'private pool' was not safe to access. I loved the main balcony and the smaller balcony. The views over Playa Del Calmen were spectacular. The walk-in enormous showers were super. Excellent, spacious fridge freezer. Fabulous Air-Con units in every room.

On arrival we kept punching in the number on the wall unit to access the key. It was late, dark, boiling hot & we were really tired. It just wouldn't open. We were stuck on the doorstep for what felt like forever. During one attempt at pushing the door, we realised the door handle lit up. This was where we needed to punch the number in, not on the wall mounted key box. Why weren't we just told this in advance?! There was no instruction manual in the apartment, so you have to work out how to sort everything yourself. A simple, laminated sheet of house instructions would be helpful! Thankfully my husband worked out that there was a water purifyer that needed to be turned on under the sink. Who would have known this? The bedside lamps require a USB connector. Seriously. Why? During a powercut the main door to the complex failed, leaving the building unsecure. There is no safe deposit box, so all our belongings were unsecured. The private rooftop 'pool' in the apartment itself was not safe to access & was more of a plunge pool. You can't swim in it. The handrail wasn't secure & being that high up on the roof any accident would be fatal. It would never pass EU regulations.The stairs upto the pool are very very steep & there are lots of them. We only ventured up once. This was a huge shame as it was one of the main reasons we booked the apartment. It was just way too dangerous. So we missed out on the lovely sun bed, outdoor dining & so on. What a waste! No kettle. We had to boil a saucepan of water everytime we wanted a cup of tea. There is no washing machine and no proper plugs in the sink making washing anything almost impossible, unless you want to pay for an extra service. Our sheets were changed once & they were disgusting. The 'clean' sheets that were put on the beds had big stains. Everything is a bit grubby & falling apart. The apartment is up for sale.

First and foremost, the location of this property was nothing short of ideal. Nestled in the heart of 5th Avenue, it provided convenient access to everything you could possibly need for a memorable trip. From a variety of delightful restaurants and vibrant bars to beautiful beaches and exciting activities, all the attractions were just a stone's throw away. In fact, the location truly emerged as the standout feature of our stay. Additionally, the privacy offered by having our own rooftop pool and dedicated space was a remarkable bonus. It allowed us to unwind in a serene setting, away from the hustle and bustle, making our experience even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the overall safety of the area; we felt secure and at ease during our entire stay, which only added to the positive experience. In conclusion, this property not only met our expectations but exceeded them, primarily due to its exceptional location and the comfort it provided.

While our stay at this property had its advantages, there are several areas for improvement that could enhance the overall experience. I understand that the property is on the market, which may influence the owner's willingness to invest further, but considering the rental price, updates are necessary. 1. The quality of towels and linens needs significant improvement. The current supplies are old, mismatched, and come in varying sizes, which detracts from the overall comfort. Although we requested fresh towels and linens, an investment in higher quality items would greatly enhance guest satisfaction. Additionally, some bedding had noticeable stains, which is concerning. 2. The cleanliness of the house fell short of expectations. We noticed dust and dirt in closets, on the floors, and throughout the rooftop area. A more thorough cleaning routine with careful attention to detail would be beneficial. Moreover, the cushions and daybeds on the rooftop were stained, and the pool also needed better upkeep. 3. We encountered a situation where the host issued a complaint regarding noise levels. It seemed that she assumed we were responsible, despite the fact that we were not present during the alleged disturbances. The actual noise appeared to be coming from the neighboring apartment, and we hope this situation wasn’t a result of profiling our family. A more open line of communication regarding noise complaints would improve the experience for all guests. 4. Although parking is available, the space is quite small and our family vehicle was unable to fit. Given that the property is marketed as family-friendly, it would be helpful for the listing to explicitly mention the parking limitations, especially since larger vehicles are common among families. Overall, addressing these concerns could make the property a truly outstanding destination for future guests.

Location was good.

Had to wait almost 3 hours to get the door codes after we confirmed prior to arrival when we would get them. Wasn't very pleasant to arrive in a foreign country, not receive communication back from the property manager/owner after we attempted numerous times and sitting on the sidewalk not knowing what to do or if we had a room (penthouse) after we paid for it.

Location was perfect! Great views of 5th and the ocean! The beds were very comfortable. The showers were big!

It needs some small maintenance. It was clean but not pristine!
