A Casa do Jaime

Amazing place to stay on Pico. Spacious house with nice pool and great ocean view. Great host that shared tips and solved electricity issue the same day. Pico is a wonderful and relaxed Azores island with great food (Bioma restaurant!), wines (Czar), nice people and places to visit.

Beds could be more comfortable by adding a soft topper matras. One bed is smaller (140) though the room would fit a 160 too. Take into account the house is somewhat remote from eg supermarkt (15-20 minutes) and sites to visit (30 min).

Thank you again so much for our wonderful stay. We absolutely loved the house, the interior design, the quality in general and of course THE VIEW!! Some highlights: - extremely comfortable beds - amazingly equipped kitchen and huge space - A/C in bedrooms was great - the design in general - very nice that the house lights of the property were on when we arrived, it was an impressive first look! - the garden is just wonderful:)) and the pool of course! - fresh flowers in vases in the house! - everything was immaculately clean - the breakfast was dream with the best bread we had on half a month Azores! - the welcome basket with wine, cheese and bread was also greatly appreciated!

It’s a bit far from most of the major sites.

This is definitely the best place to stay in Pico. Everything is perfect about it - the location is very secluded, at least it was for us - no neighbours, quiet. Stunning views of the ocean, beautiful garden, pool. The whole atmosphere of the place is so special and the style the house is decorated in resonated with us on some level. The villa is spotlessly clean and has everything one might need for a comfortable stay. Will definitely come back! Thank you, Pedro and Vania!

Everything was perfect

We did not find any miradouros on Pico with a better view than that at Casa do Jaime! Expansive ocean views from large patio, kitchen and both bedrooms. Location on a hillside outside of town is superb. Great star gazing on a clear night. Very quiet. Communication with Pedro was proactive and friendly. The home is clean and comfortable. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned but the rest of the house was comfortable in mid-July. Welcome snack was greatly appreciated after several flight delays and a re-routing to Faial.

Any complaints would be nit picking. We were sad to leave.

The house, the amenities, the grounds and the location were wonderful. We arrived on Pico in the midst of a tropical storm, basically trapping us in the house for 2.5 days. Although VERY disappointed that we could not use the pool or even sit outside, the house was a perfect retreat. Comfie, warm, dry, a basket of goodies, well stocked everything, and lots of TV streaming options. I walked around the immediate area in between downpours and it was delightful. Also a nice walk down to the waterfront near the Tapas bar, windmill, etc.

The narrow road driving to the house - but there is minimal road traffic so this was just "sort of" scary. As Americans, we aren't used to the very narrow roads!
