In Vacanza a Gaeta - Villa Marianna

Ho trascorso una notte a Villa Marianna durante una vacanza a Gaeta e ne sono rimasto entusiasta. L’appartamento è pulito, spazioso e accogliente, con spazi interni ben organizzati e forniti di tutto il necessario. La terrazza è semplicemente strepitosa: perfetta sia di giorno che di sera, con una vista mozzafiato e comodi lettini per rilassarsi. La posizione è ideale per raggiungere facilmente sia il centro che le spiagge. La signora AnnaFranca è un’host gentile, disponibile e molto accogliente. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca relax, comfort e panorama. Peccato non aver potuto soggiornare più a lungo!

Great view, nice colourful interior.

The planket was all plastic and hot at night. The window of the bedroom didn´t have proper curtains so someone could have seen in. This is not nice because even if I don´t travel with a romantic partner I still want to have privacy for sleeping. The paintings on the bedroom wall were sinister and didn´t give a calm and safe feeling what you would need in a bedroom. The Gate was difficult to handle first without any guidance. There wasn´t a shade on strings on the balcony, on top of the table which is seen in the pictures. Toiletpaper run out too fast because there were only 2 rolls for my stay. I drank the water but there was a water condition checkup during my stay, so maybe I shouldn´t have drank it.

Parking at the property is only possible if you have a very small car. The access road is very narrow with a bend half way down it. Unfortunately we had hired a medium size SUV and it was not possible to reach the property. We had to park approximately 150 m away on a narrow road. Luckily the car survived for our 10 day stay. Pots and pans in the kitchen were an odd assortment all of which had seen better days. The shower cubicle is very small and doors are very difficult to shut and the drain a bit slow to drain away. Double glazing in the windows were foggy and mouldy making it difficult to see out. The terrace although large with a good view was dirty with debris from the pine trees and grit. After sweeping (twice!) it was a lot more pleasant to walk on with bare feet. Property was basically not very clean and no cleaning products were provided. There was an expectation that the property was cleaned before leaving, which was difficult without cleaning products, even so we feel that we left the apartment much cleaner than we found it! Generally the apartment needs a complete refurbish (especially the bathroom) to bring it up to an acceptable standard. The local beach although pleasant has been taken over with umbrellas and sunbeds with very few people on them! There is only a very small sections of public beach, which are fine for a quick swim but too pleasant to stay for any length of time. There was no washing machine, despite Booking.com site says there was! The location is quite a long way from the town a long walk if you want to go out to restaurants or bars.

The view was great.

Everything was a bit dated and old. The driveway to access the property was nearly impossible to navigate. The bed was not very comfortable and the shower was incredibly small.

The terrace and the view was really nice, location good, quite.

Amazing view from the terrace easy access to the beach, which is beautiful with a couple of little coves that are easily accessible with a short walk. The villa is very comfortable and has aircon, for location and that terrace, it’s good value for money.

Access is very tight, we had an Opel Astra, anything bigger and you would really struggle to get it to the villa, we had around 5cm each side of the car. Don’t leave any food on the sideboard, we had some peaches left out and the Ants claimed them, thousands of them, but easily sorted by just using the fridge.

The location was great. The driveway was adventurous, you need a small car to drive in, but that's ok.

The shower room could have a hand shower.
