Vaaldam @ Sgt Pepper’s Holiday Home

Very peaceful and close to the dam. The house and veranda is huge, and it is the ideal getaway for a big family or group of friends. Our dogs were in heaven and enjoyed running around on the big property.

The mattresses could have been better. There was also a power failure (stolen or burnt cable) in the area for most of our stay, which is out of the owner's control. The caretaker struggled to get the gas cylinder working and the emergency lights in the house didn't work. Luckily we had our own gas stove and lights.

The house has plenty of space and everything you need. Don't expect luxury, but as it is was perfect for us. We had great time, the property is on the dam so you can fish if you like, Anneke was very helpful and very responsive, there were no issues. We would book again

The beds were a bit uncomfortable as the mattresses were made out of sponge but not so bad, we slept ok

We spent two nights and absolutely loved it. The weather was sunny, the view was stunning, and our fur babies had the best time running freely in the spacious yard. There’s fishing right on site, and the water level was up，Petter he kind and attentive, and his two fur babies were super sweet. The whole vibe was peaceful and relaxing — perfect for a getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

The cell signal here isn’t strong, but that was perfect—it helped me put down my phone, enjoy time with family, and really connect with nature, just the way a getaway should be.

The way the house is built, the yard, it's really good. It's the ideal place for groups and couples.

The road just before is slightly shoddy however that's not the establishments fault. South African Roads

The location was awesome and nearby lake makes it even better.

The beds were a little bit uncomfortable and could do with mattress change. Overall, the place was very clean and we reaaly enjoyed our stay.

The house was clean and comfortable with every detail seen too making it a home from home. The owner was welcoming and such a lovely lady, we will be sure to visit again.

Peter was flexible with check in and also checked in on us.He was an excellent host. Home was spacious.
