Traveller's Rest - Cosy cottage in heart of Wilton

Cottage is amazing, so cosy, tastefully decorated and full of charm.

It was very nice and cozy, we were welcomed with bowl of sweets and a book guide for all things around the apartment and also travel guide what to do around. Very nicely compiled guide by our hosts. There s one living room downstairs and everything else is situated upstairs. For the money pretty nice deal and shop is located right in front of the house! Which was great. There were several board games below the tv and we really appreciated that!

The kitchen and bathroom upstairs is pretty wierdly organized house to be honest, and in the living room downstairs there is no way of opening the windows, and we didn’t like the scent of living room, it was quite a wierd smell and no way to get rid of it. The hosts were kind enough to let few pairs of earplugs for the noise of neighbouring shop over the road restocking and vans parking and such, but it was also a minor bother.

Location ideal. Central for exploring and couldn't have been closer to supermarket! Very imaginative use of space. Provision of fans very much appreciated in the heatwave.

Kitchen superbly equipped but situation on 1st floor was difficult. We are in our 80s and prefer to hold onto a rail when going up and down stairs. Impossible to carry 2 plates of food or 2 cups of coffee down stairs. Had to do one at a time! Wouldn't risk dropping anything on the stair carpet! However we managed and it didn't impact too badly on our enjoyment of our stay.

A bit hot but the fans were great. Hosts thought of everything so definitely recommend.

Everything was brilliant. The hosts had thought of everything. They put bread and bits in the kitchen - the bathroom was clean and neat. The bedroom was super comfy and the facilities were all there.

Nothing could have been better.
