Marriott's Shadow Ridge I - The Villages

The resort has every amenity available and makes it a great location to stay at without ever having to leave the resort. But if you do, there are several stores and markets nearby.

I did not like there not being an adults only pool or certain hours for adults - some children are unsupervised and can be annoying.

The rooms were excellent. Very quiet, which was wonderful! The pools were great, and we LOVED the Aqua Aerobics! It was a beautiful property. A wonderful weekend of rest and relaxation.

That we couldn't stay longer.

Size of room… amenities/ activities

Some of the activities were overpriced for kids I.e . Candy roll shouldn’t be 10$ more like $5 and the tie dye bag my child was told she would receive wasn’t the one she was given .. and the pay for parking at 25/ per night… I rather go to higher end hotel for this

Location

Room was very small. The bathroom door would hit the bed when you opened it. No restaurants on site, only one ice machine on the first floor (we were on the 3rd) floor). It’s a large property so you have to drive to get to the 2 bigger pools. They charged my husband $35.00 to use the driving range even though he had just played Golf there. Upon checkout, the elevator was broken, and I was told by the front desk that nobody could help us down with all our luggage and we would have to use the stairs. We’re not exactly spring chickens and I told her I wasn’t comfortable carrying down ice chest and heavy items and she said there’s nothing she could do about it. We had previously stayed at the Westin in Rancho Mirage much nicer property, large rooms, restaurants, and bars on site and free driving range for people staying there I would never return to this property. It offers nothing. It is more of a vacation club than a resort.
