It couldn’t have been better

Had porridge twice ,on both occasions it was warm, not hot. Location was good. Staff were very helpful, especially when we asked for a room on the ground floor.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, very soft mattress.

Really great food at this hotel. Located close to the M5 at the entrance to Exmoor it's a really convenient spot if travelling by car. Very comfortable room. Electric Vehicle charging onsite.

Not much - one of our side dishes was poor but that's all.

Everything was great about this hotel. Staff extremely helpful, location great and room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. They had two EV charging points on car park.

I booked a standard double room for the first night and a superior double for the second, as no superior rooms were available earlier. I highly recommend the superior room: the large windows, spacious bed, and wet‑room shower were fantastic. The lady at reception was lovely, very organised, and incredibly accommodating. We could have any meal from the restaurant served in our room at no extra cost, which was a great touch. Both rooms were surprisingly spacious. Despite the photos, the standard double was larger than expected. The bar being open all day was also a bonus, especially with the option to sit outside. We'd happily come back.

The hotel was very quiet. Staff were excellent.

The shower in the cosy room was dangerous. The shower was over the bath. There was no handle to get into and out of the shower. Rooms could do with being freshened up.
