"We’ll be back!"

10.0

A fabulous place to stay. So well equipped, super comfortable and if you’re lucky the friendly hounds may come and say hello, they don’t stay long! The owners have thought of everything.

"Exceptional"

Beautiful and comfortable conversion. The host is fantastic with checking if all is OK, giving us suggestions where to eat and giving us food gifts to start the day. Very conveniently located for Waterperry Gardens, Brill and Thame.

Nothing not to dislike.

"It could be perfect..."

6.0

The location was excellent for us as we were attending a wedding nearby. The setting in the garden was beautiful and very well maintained. There was plenty of parking and the double bed was very comfortable. The owner left some lovely quality and complimentary bits, which we much appreciated.

The owner left us an extensive note explaining some basic information, i.e., how to use the coffee maker... etc and further notes explaining that the cooking facilities were not to be used other than warming food only... We were not to fry anything, which would have been impossible as there were no frying pans and there was only one very small milk pan. The owner wrote "as you know from the booking, cooking is limited to warming only." However, we rechecked the website and it clearly says "guests enjoy a fully equipped kitchen," which we were expecting. The photos show a full hob and oven. This we find extremely disappointing as we do not eat precooked meals as was suggested. The cutlery drawer was very dirty, cups were stained, very limited plates, bowls etc. Clearly the owner does not like cooking or indeed cleaning, we found numerous old - cobwebs, dust, fluff on the stairs, bits of dirt under the bed, crumbs on the sofa and the kitchen shelf had been wiped round missing all the items leaving a dust trail. The owners dogs have free roam of the garden and decided to join us too often, which meant we couldn't use the bench outside in the warm weather or have the door open. The fridge and microwave under the stairs are very awkward to use.

"Delightful place for a short stay!"

9.0

The Bike Shed is a great example of how to maximise space in a small footprint. It is beautifully finished with all the features you need for a short stay. The design means that it is full of natural light and it furnished to a higher standard than you might expect at this price point.

Nothing. The bedroom is a bit tight for headroom due to the nature of the building so if you are above average height it might not be suitable.

"The Bike Shed was an unexpected pleasure which made my week."

10.0

Wow, what a place The Bike Shed is. The accommodation is of exceptional standard, but it is the host Emma's attention to detail which takes it to a level I have not experienced before. The consideration show for the guest is incredible. A fully handwritten greeting card, along with flowers and basic supplies is a new experience for me.

I genuinely don't know how it could be improved.

"Delightful place, beautifully presented with lots of thoughtful touches"

10.0

Idyllic spot and a really superb stay. The bike shed is a real gem and there were so many lovely touches . We only had one night and picked an amazing Thai from the Churchill that was recommended. Will definitely return.
