Open-air bath & Private hot-spring Villa in Hakone

It was wonderful place! Beautiful and cozy villa! Fireplace good for dinner, and terrace for breakfast! I love it!

Only 5 bed..

location is not great ( especially without car ) everything is old. Kitchen is not good ( pan is rusty , all the cooking tools and cutlery need to be cleaned before use )

This place was obviously amazing about 20 years ago. It would have had been AMAZING at that time. However, time has passed and it's been used for groups including camping groups(?) [There's notes pasted on various walls that seem to be written for boy scout groups]. This means everything is both dated and worn. The onsen itself was also a bit dingy, and the outdoor hot-tub clearly quite dated. Biggest tip: YOU NEED A CAR, unless you're happy to walk miles on busy (for Japan) roads, which is what we did. Luckily our luggage was fairly portable.

As above, everything needs a refresh, and it's been used as an AirBNB for large groups for years now. The cleaning is very outsourced feeling, nothing gets replaced when broken but instead removed/cut off/covered, etc.

cooking pan and pots were old rusty and anti stick coating gone. ONLY a lightning connector for the projector no usb-c

Very beautiful house with amazing views. A highlight of our trip!
