Posizione eccezionale , nei sassi vicino a tanti punti di interesse turistico, nelle vicinanze di via Domenico ridola , via centrale con ottima possibilità di parcheggio , per chi viene in macchina, la suite spaziosa , pulito e con tutte le comodità .appartamento suggestivo per chi vuole fare esperienza in una casa grotta.

La posizione è davvero ottimale, nel pieno centro, luogo suggestivo e ben servito. La struttura in sé è davvero un’esperienza: una vera grotta che ti dà la possibilità di vivere a pieno i sassi di Matera

La struttura non era molto pulita. C’era polvere su tavoli e tavolini, il divano era inutilizzabile in quanto completamente macchiato, sia sulla seduta che sui cuscini e schienale. La struttura non è ben tenuta : prese che fuoriescono dal muro, una multi presa attaccata in mezzo per tenere frigo ed elettrodomestici accesi. L’assistenza ci ha lasciato l’amaro in bocca : alle 16:00 abbiamo avuto un primo contatto per chiedere informazioni riguardo i riscaldamenti, solo alle 18:30 abbiamo avuto una soluzione che ci ha permesso di metterli in funzione. La macchinetta del caffè perdeva acqua, l’occorrente per le pulizie è in bella vista, lo specchio era sporco, l’acqua nel lavello del bagno non scendeva , probabilmente a causa di un blocco delle tubature.

Beautiful cave, but the worst communication we’ve ever experiencedThe cave itself was absolutely stunning — a really special and unique space that we would have loved to enjoy under better circumstances. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by poor communication and logistical problems that made things unnecessarily stressful.

After booking, we received no information at all, no directions, parking advice, or check-in details. We accidentally drove into the restricted city centre and got fined, which could have been easily avoided with a simple message in advance. After finally finding parking, we walked to the property, which was not easy to locate. When we arrived, we still had no lockbox code or instructions. The phone number didn’t work, and emails went unanswered. As we were abroad, we had to use roaming at our own expense to download the app and eventually find the code, leaving us locked out for over an hour. Once we finally got in, the space itself was lovely and unique, though a bit damp. There were also plumbing issues, the jacuzzi bath didn’t work, and when we emptied it, the toilet overflowed. At checkout, the lockbox code disappeared from the app again. We had to wait another hour for the cleaner to let us out. Daniele, who had taken our documents, didn’t know the code and then sent us a number in Bangladesh (which, unsurprisingly, didn’t answer). Because of the delay, we ended up paying an extra €30 in parking fees as we were charged for another day. Then, three days AFTER we had already left, we finally received all the information we should have had before our stay, including a message asking us to leave the tourist tax in cash at the property we had long vacated. When I informed him of this, he finally replied (the first quick response we ever got), presumably because it involved money. He sent me an international IBAN to transfer it, which would have cost me extra fees. Only after explaining everything again did he agree to cover it himself, the one small positive gesture in the entire experience. All of this could have been avoided with one clear email and a working phone number. The cave itself is great, but the management and communication are truly unacceptable. Just stay elsewhere — it’s not worth the stress.
