Prime Edinburgh City Centre - 4 Bed Penthouse

loved the location and the views. the master room is very large so that was a bonus and I didnt realize it had a jacuzzi tub with fun lighting. The large living room was also nice to spread out in.

every thing was good but there was a freezer that was frozen shut but we didnt need it so it wasnt a problem for us. They had separate full sized refrigerator and freezer i believe.. the stairs up to the top floor are quite the hike but the view from above is worth it.

Beautiful property right in the centre of Edinburgh- perfect location for us as 2 families with 3 kids between us. The apartment is gorgeous, quirky and charming as any historic building in Edinburgh would be - huge , high ceilings and loads of space in all rooms. We had no issue with it being on top floor (no lift) as we knew this going in and were also aware of some tiny items ( eg loose tap heads on large bath) that needed some slight tlc but that truly did not cause us any issue personally during our stay. Owner was easy to contact and provided all needed info regarding check in/ check out. We walked into all areas of the city from here everyday and then enjoyed our evenings chilling in the apartment overlooking the fab city and castle. Would recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

So minor but Would suggest placing the Kettle in a higher area as where it plugs in on an extension lead from the floor we did have to move once boiled so kids wouldn’t touch it.

Location and size were good

The facilities weren’t great. The kettle, toaster, coffee machine were balanced precariously on a wire rack. Beds uncomfortable (except for the one with the bath) en-suite very small, difficult to access the toilet if you are tall! No hanging in bed 2 - rail broken. Pillows uncomfortable. Sofa tired and uncomfortable. Tap dripping in kitchen and no plug for sink. Overall a bit shabby for the price.

Beds were comfortable. Views were great. Lots of space

Stairs were much steeper and less accessible than indicated. Generally flat was ‘tired’ with some broken and badly scratched furniture, tatty curtains in en-suite bedroom, hole in floor at lounge entrance under carpet, bathroom had black mould and was not that clean. Heating was not adjustable so it was quite cold at times during the snowy weather we experienced. Settee in lounge could only seat 6 people so not enough room for the 8 people the flat could accommodate. Although £180 was included for cleaning the owner asked us to remove the accumulated rubbish and waste outside to the municipal rubbish disposal facilities.

The location was great the apartment size good, roomy enough for 8 adult women

The week before we went being told we could only use the main bathroom toilet for poo, so 1 loo for 8 women. The sofa was very tired and old stained and not at all comfortable broken furniture walldrobe with missing door, broken lamps, cupboard doors hanging off curtains hanging off the rail. Mould on the bathroom walls, whirlpool bath in main bedroom with missing parts, no plugs fitted either bath, filthy oven, miss matched China and glass ware leaky kitchen tap every time used mopping up a puddle. We were expecting a high standard as advertised but we were very disappointed paying £1700+ for 3 nights

A really stunning apartment with a high speck finish. Beds very comfortable and we did sleep very well indeed. Very well located near to all the shops, restaurants and centre of Edinburgh

We did have an issue with the heating not coming on. We followed the information given by Cyrus but radiators were stone cold. The issue was not resolved during our stay, so it was very chilly.

I loved the location and the layout of the penthouse

The stairs. I didn’t realize when booking there were so many to climb and with luggage it was definitely a workout. It was very echoey too. It would have been more efficient if both bathrooms could be used for bathroom purposes as well. It also could have had a binder with all the necessary information you need for check out, using the appliances, etc.

Good location, spacious rooms

There were some minor issues which the owner responded to promptly via telephone contact. Would be useful to have instructions for all of the appliances including heating. Although modern some of the fixtures and fittings around the flat could do with some attention especially the lock/handle on the bathroom door.
