Just need a sun umbrella. It was a beautiful day, but too hot to sit on the deck, as there was no shelter

The yurt was a fun experience, our family loved it. It was clean and comfy and had everything you need for a cool stay off the beaten path. The owner even had a yoga math in case th guests want to utilize the patio for a few sun salutations. The kitchen and bath were spotless clean. All in all great stay.

I got eaten alive by mosquitoes or something else. But this is generally the case everywhere in the South Island so just be prepared before you stargaze.

Well equipped yurt right by the sea, great view and easy walk down a few steps to the beach and hole in the rock. Good kitchen with barbecue, washing machine. Great shower. Recommend to purchase food and groceries in Westpoint on the way out as there are only a couple of restaurants nearby.

The yurt itself was spacious and comfortable and in a stunning location with amazing views. The kitchen/laundry/bathroom were tiny but adequate.

It was stiflingly hot inside when we arrived despite both windows and door being open. The fan really didn’t do anything to improve things. The temperature only dropped when the sun went down. It was a long way to the toilet in the middle of the night.

Beautiful location with amazing views over the Tasman Sea. The accommodations were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is amazing with an easy walk to the beach, a great hike to the seal colony, and a terrific local restaurant. The host was also very communicative with information on the area and what to expect.

Views, originality, facilities, hosting, handy to local features.

As a tent it gets very warm when the sun is on it. When heavy rain the windows need their clear covers on.
