The Lodge - Studio Apartment's

Scott, one of the hosts, provided an excellent YouTube video showing where the studio was located on the hotel site. This made finding the studio easy. He was also very accommodating re storing our luggage before our flight home, which we really appreciated. The studio itself was clean and comfortable with a lovely outside area that would be a fantastic bonus in good weather – alas the weather wasn’t suitable for sitting outside when we were there. The shower has to be mentioned since it was excellent! In terms of location, the studio is approx. a 10min walk to Cobo Bay where the bus, which goes around the Guernsey coastline, can be caught. This was ideal since we were on a walking holiday and did not have access to a car. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel which takes you into St Peter Port.

There might be an issue if the weather is hot since besides the door to gain access to the outdoor area there aren't any windows which can be opened. The studio relies on an airconditioning unit which could be noisy.

The apartment was roomy and very comfortable. It was well equipped for a short or long stay, and on a bus route, so very handy for people like us who didn't have transport. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower, and plenty of towels and toiletries. The kitchen was well equipped but would benefit from having a chopping board (we used a plate!!) There is a very soft comfortable bed and also a double sofa bed and single armchair, both of which were comfortable. There is a fold up table and chairs inside a spacious wardrobe (which was quite difficult to open due to the carpet being really thick by the wardrobe doors). The apartment itself was nicely decorated and very clean. We looked for a dustpan and brush to be able to sweep the laminate floor by the kitchen units, but couldn't find one!! Kitchen towels, washing up liquid and hand soap were all provided for use in the kitchen, as were salt, pepper, tea, coffee and sugar. There's an Iceland shop in cobo about 15 minutes walk away, through the housing estate opposite the hotel, which was handy for the provisions we needed. We would use the accommodation again should we visit guernsey in the future

We would have preferred an outdoor space, but there are the grounds of the hotel which I guess we could have used. It would benefit from having a chopping board.

The apartment was superb. Lots of space, very clean, and well stocked with all the linen and towels required. The hosts are very friendly, made contact prior to moving in to check all was okay, and was very easy and quick to contact over Whatsapp. Was very helpful with any queries I had. The kitchen was well equipped, making it easy to cook and prep with all the necessary utensils and appliances. The bathroom was kitted out well and can accommodate everyone. The property is well situated, easy to get to by bus from St Peter Port, and is within a 15 minute walk of the spectacular Cobo beach, shops, and pubs. Well worth going to the Rockmount pub if you have a chance. Cannot recommend this apartment enough!

There is only really bus routes to and from the apartment and St Peter Port, so if you want to visit anywhere else, you will have to navigate different bus routes. If driving this should be no issue. However, I would recommend hiring bicycles for the stay to get around easier.

Comfortable. Close to bus-stop and coast(14 mins walk). Quiet. Hotel restaurant option. All you need for a very enjoyable extended stay.

Secluded so quiet

Very little connect with facilities. Room only and get on with it approach.

Accommodation was lovely and extremely clean and new. The hosts even arranged for a cleaner during the stay. The environment is extremely quiet so you can have some excelllent relaxation there are also local restaurants and pubs near by and if you want to get into town there is a bus stop directly next to the property. The accommodation is large with a high ceiling, facilities are excellent along with a power shower, bath and any amenities you need in order to cook. There is also a nice balcony where you can sit out at night and have some peace. The hosts were excellent and accommodated to every request.
