"Superb"

9.0

Easy parking. Super easy to let ourselves in and nice to find a complimentary box of chocolates waiting for us. Sufficient space for 4 people on a short stay if you are out and about most of the time. Great little base for a couple of days exploring the area and lovely sunny aspect when you get the right weather.

"Very good"

The views from the accommodation were lovely. Great location for exploring and visiting family.

No storage in the bathroom, like a shelf for putting toothbrushes and bits on while staying. Had to be placed on the sink.

"Great base for coastal walking."

10.0

A fantastic little place with superb views and everything we needed. Ian and Helen were great to liaise with and super helpful. We used it as a base to walk sections of the Pembrokeshire coastal path, challenging but rewarding with fantastic beaches and views. Having a shopping delivery was helpful as we'd arrived by train at Manorbier, and the nearest shop was Lamphey.

"Not ideal if it happens to be very wet weather but the sun shone throughout our stay."

5.0

Parking and in between locations we wanted to go to.

Whilst a view of sea is OK it is marred by a shack just below. The access to the flat from the car park is down a short rather steep concrete slope and then up a further zig zag slope to the 2nd level. None of the external lights worked so a torch is necessary at night. It took us nearly an hour to find the flat in the dark on arrival. The only sign to Devoncourt was at the entrance of a private roadway which led to a large block of flats. Thinking we had arrived we parked and then spent a long time looking for No 7. Thinking that the number was wrong we eventually tried a flat numbered 37 that happened to have a key box and as the owner had said the flat would be left open for us we tried the door and hey ho it opened. Alas the flat was occupied and we were, rightly, given short shrift, but at least were told no 7 was `over there`. We then started to try and find a way in to over there and ended up returning to the main road where with the aid of a torch we saw a sign for flats 1-10 (but it did not mention Devoncourt). Not sure if we were in the correct location we did find a No.7. The entrance through the French Doors is quite dangerous, especially when wet, as there is a curved slope before the window surround. One has to make sure that one steps right in to the flat from the flat surface. The main bedroom is very small and access to and from the bedside nearest the window is rather restrictive. The access to the sea is indeed very steep - not so bad going down but a climb coming back. The sand dunes in between are covered in untidy scrub between paths. The coast along the coastal path going west from the flat is not particularly spectacular, but beyond to St Govan's Head etc is truly spectacular but accessibility needs to be checked as all the way to Freshwater West is a live firing range. We ate mostly at the Stackpole Inn where the food was superb. The flat served its purpose but we would choose different accommodation another time.

It was bright, airy and clean. The bed was really comfortable and the view was amazing. Also near the beach and convenient parking.

The portable heating at this time of year. .

"Perfect location for the South Pembrokeshire Coastal Path."

Great support from the hosts. Perfect location if you like the outdoors. Peaceful apartment, with good sound insulation from surrounding properties (above, below and to each side). Friendly resident neighbours.
