The location is convenient to get to the old town of Bukit Mertajam - the parking there is bad anyway. The restaurants and supermarkets are also very near by. There is a public bus from Penang Sentral which stops a bit away from the property. The room looks sparse but is very clean and the fittings show good quality.
I have been to full e-check in lodgings before, but details was communicated quite early. Here however it was only given when I enquired on the day of arrival - because I was delayed by traffic. It wasn't clear that many of the facilities like kettle, fridge and hair dryer were shared. And no cups provided - thank God I had a steel bottle. The toilet roll was missing at first, but appeared on top of the fridge later.
