Very friendly and heartily host! Told us a lot of tips for places to visit and was welcoming us to his table. Unique and authentic experience! Nice, cozy and well-equipped accommodation. Would totally recommend!

Ben and his family were lovely hosts; although we only spent one night, we were made to feel right at home. The room was shared with another guest, but the mattress was very comfortable. We had breakfast the next morning, which was very delicious.

The breakfast was fab every time! Plenty of food, was with me super quickly upon sitting at the breakfast table.

I have no complaints, it was all lush. The kids were super cute and friendly, I was allowed to borrow the bike to get around and see the sites (which was super nice) and Ben and his wife helped me with my bus leaving, very happy to go the extra mile.

Ben and his family made me feel at home. Very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was good and filling. They showed me where I can fill my water bottle up with purified water. They lent me a bicycle for the day to explore the rice paddies too! Ben and his wife also helped me when I fell ill to food poisoning by providing medicine, offering to get me anything I needed and even offered some comgee in the evening The homestay also has a pool which is really refreshing after a long day exploring Mai Chau. The bedroom is very clean and the bed surprisingly comfortable (I was unsure what it would be like because it's a mattress on the floor - but I had some great nights sleep!) The bathroom is spacious and always clean. The shower has good water pressure. A bonus is that there are 3 or 4 friendly little kittens that don't mind being around humans!

The only thing to be aware of is that the homestay is not amongst the rice paddies and is in the southern part of Mai Chau. I had a really good time here because I had a motorbike but the family lent me a bicycle to explore the rice paddies, which are only a kilometer away so it's not that much of an issue to be honest.

You can get genuine experience with Ben's family. It's something like more than service. Any super ranked hotels can't offer it. Every food was nice, but I like banana crepe host mother baked the most. I was impressed by Ben’s philosophy to manage his guest house. The morning with chorus of chickens is also unforgettable. There are satisfying utilities like hot shower, flush toilet, air conditioner… The more is not necessary in that traditional-styled house.

I visit them in harvest season next time.

I was treated like a family member by Ben, had dinner with Ben's family, shared interesting stories about life, customs and lifestyles of the White Thai ethnic people On a quiet morning, you get up with the sound of birds singing, footsteps on the porch, cloud-capped mountain peaks, everything is perfectly calm and peaceful.
