This could be a nice place in that it is close to the beach and once had beautiful murals on the walls. However, because of the recent flooding, beach is only approachable by climbing over a landslide at the moment.

When I arrived at 5:30 pm, the host welcomed me and told me that there recently had been a flooding (true) in Safi and due to that the place was mouldy, which he would take care off next week. If I wouldn't like it, I could cancel for free and "go somewhere else". He emphasized how that wasn't his fault and he couldn't use a bad review. I get the point and I really feel sorry for the flooding that hit the region, however not felt welcome at the place. Also, as a woman travelling alone on a bicycle cycling up the hill there, arriving one hour before dark, I would really have preferred to know in advance that there was a problem. If you feel your place is not ready to host guests (a) ask them in advance if they still wanna come or (b) take it off booking until the problem is resolved instead of pressuring people not to leave reviews. I also have to say the place was very dirty, cushions smelled like pre-used and there were people smoking in the common room, even at night.

Quiet location, good value for money, helpful and friendly staff. Local bus no 4 to Medina. Separate sitting room for reading or writing.

Basic facilities. Not easy walk to beach, however a taxi cost 10 - 15 MAD (cheap).

Everything was sticky, the bathroom a nightmare, the mattress was too much used no window and super far from the city center. And the neighboor was super loud. We finally sleep somewhere else.
