Mr toucan is in a great location, clean, nice staff...but we didnt have any hot water ( and at tmes no water) for 2 days

Room was clean, beds were comfy.

This would be a nice place except that when we checked in we discovered that the water wasnt working. After speaking to another guest, we found out that it had been out for 2 days and yet no one mentioned it at check in. We had to discover it for ourselves when we tried to shower. When we went down to ask we were told that it was a city wide outage, just to find out that wasn't true, it was only our hotel. We really felt like they were being dishonest. It wasn't that big of a deal that the water was out, but that they didn't tell us or try to remedy the issue in any way (not even buckets of water to flush toilets!) Other than the water issue it's a nice place. Ask for one of the back rooms if you are a light sleeper as some of the rooms are right on the main road so might be problematic for light sleepers. This is not where we normally stay, but our flight was canceled and had to scramble to find a place. Can't say I'd stay here again.

It was like a home away from home for a few days. The staff is really what makes it great. Dana and Juvelly (I hope I spelled it right) were awesome and went above and beyond to be helpful.

The hotel is right on the beach. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The common space is really nice especially since you can watch sunset from there. Breakfast is included and is located at the coffee shop below. The food was so good! The staff was so kind and helpful. They even drove us to the airport. The traffic can get busy with the cruise ships coming in.
