Awel y Mor

Awel y Mor is a wonderful place to stay! Our hosts were fabulous and extremely responsive. We had pastries, bread, and a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival and they provided more bread during the week (always offering more if needed, plus offering to make us some food for our return journey). The bread in particular was fantastic! The house is well-equipped and had plenty of space for myself and two colleagues to spread out. The mattresses in each room are also a little different so that we could pick the one we liked best. The house is only one block from the beach front, so very easy access and it was a very nice place to walk between our accommodation and the location of the conference we attended. The hosts provide a wide variety of toiletries in the bathrooms, and there are also games and books in the living area. The wifi was highspeed and worked very well (note that the signal isn't as good in the kitchen, so for intensive internet use the living area is better).

Note negatives but just a couple of notes for others planning to stay here - to reach the house you use a narrow and somewhat steep set of metal steps that are at the back of the property; keep this in mind if you need mobility assistance (or have a lot of heavy luggage). The hosts meet you with the keys, so you need to provide an arrival time. My train was late but fortunately my colleague was on a different train and so was able to meet the hosts at the scheduled time.

Huge amount of space for your money. Lovely to have the kitchen, lounge and roof terrace for family to spread out.

Access to property via back lane - perhaps needs more lighting. Need to be careful on steep stairwell leading to apartment.

Spacious well furnished and equipped property in the quiet part of Llandudno, plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 children. The owners from the bakery below provided us with some wonderful bread and cakes on arrival too.

The beds were too slow and soft for my liking

It had everything, very comfortable, home from home. Fabulous hosts, treat us with cakes pastries and sour dough bread from their bakery downstairs . Would definitely recommend.

The only thing that was a little inconvenient was no bathroom on 1st floor. Maybe as it's an old building it's not possible. Still, great stay!

Comfortable beds, well equipped, lovely space

Not a dislike per say however the steps leading to the property entrance are quite steep. We managed fine but anyone with mobility issues/prams/small kids may struggle a bit. Also both bathrooms are on the lower level.

The property was neat and well kept. It is beautifully furnished and the location is superb. The hosts were super nice. They left us wine and delivered freshly baked pastries and bread to us.

Everything was likeable. I think the narrow entrance to the property could be tidied up a bit. Every thing was nicely laid out

Really spacious and comfortable flat. 2 bathrooms. Dishwasher, and great location 3 minutes walk to Llandudno prom, lots of takeaways and little bars nearby, and 10 minutes walk to the big shopping centre, around 20 minutes to the pier. There is also a bus that stops right outside and the owners have the bakery below. They provided nice touches like fresh flowers and bread and cakes on arrival. We had a lovely week.

No washing mashine. No clear instructions about rubbish and recycling, but we did our best. Some furnishings a little tired and kitchen cupboard doors askew etc. Kitchen missing a tin opener! The metal steps up to the flat are a bit lethal. There are gaps and one very high one at the top. Luckily none of these are major problems for us but others may like to know.
