The best accommodation and hosts of our 10 day trip in Sicily. I want to go back:)

I normally don't do reviews. First I don't get paid for writing reports and secondly if I'm onto a good thing, I don't want too many people to know as it narrows your options if you want to go there again. The apartment is superb and Marco was such a generous host. He told us that there was a festival going on in the evening in Ragusa Ibla and despite the weather it did not disappoint. It was one of those things that you always wanted to do but never seemed to get the opportunity. We also had a mix up with our onward travel which was my fault for not realising that trains do not run out of Ragusa on a Sunday. Marco was kind enough to arrange for a driver to pick us up and take us to Agrigento. Marco is a superb host and I have already recommended this apartment to other travellers that we met in Sicily.

Everything was really great. The host waited for us at the apartment and provided a key card to a nearby car park. Communication was easy, he also gave us recommendations to nearby restaurants that turned out lovely. The interior totally compensates the lack of windows, very good attention to detail, it was clean and cosy. The photos don't oversell it at all, it's really this nice.The bed & pillows were super comfy and the street was quiet, so we finally got a day of proper sleep. The packed breakfast, chocolates, coffee & milk - just little things that make you feel good about this place.

It's a bit of a walk to go to the old part of the city, not a surprise as you can check the map, just have it in mind. Maybe choose some place over there if you mind climbing stairs. We enjoyed them :D

The room was beautiful. The host provided plenty of wonderful recommendations and was always available. A great stay!

The room was a bit humid but we easily could have run the AC on dry to make it better. Opening the doors made a huge difference on cooler days.

The apartment is located pretty close to the city center. At a short distance you find restaurants and cafes. The apartment was very well equiped and the design was traditional "ragusan". The owner puts at dispozition breakfast (croissant, milk, bread and jam, tea and coffee). I also got complementary chocolate and map of the city.
