"Beyond disappointing."

The riverside location…the dinner was excellent.

One of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in. Cold. damp, dirty. Mattress had springs coming to the surface. Shower was filthy.

The staff was exceptionally nice , efficient and helpful. The youngest waiter was inexperienced and kept his hands in his pockets a lot! The food was excellent and good value for money with a varied choice of wines.

The accomodation is overpriced at £172 excluding breakfast for a tiny room overlooking the carpark with only one bedside table, one reasonably comfortable chair, the fridge inside the very small warderobe! The shower room was smelly with mould around the walls and the glass partition. I would not choose to stay here again. It was very disappointing since I remember our wonderful stay 48 years ago in the iconic Beetle and Wedge Hotel which sadly is no longer.
