"Practically perfect in every way."

The cottage and host were exceptional. It is by far the best home from home I have ever stayed in. Martyn is super friendly and welcoming: this used to be his family home and you can feel the love he still has for it. The quality of the decor, furnishings, kitchen equipment (including AGA), bed linen, towels and appliances are all provided to give you a lux feel to your stay. Which is a personal bug bear of mine, you pay money for being away, you expect more than "cheap and basic" .... this was completely the opposite. Fresh scones on arrival and milk in the fridge. Heating was on so warm and welcoming on arrival.... blustery Cornish weather when we got there. I cannot use any more superlatives to express the outstanding quality and experience of the cottage. Do not hesitate to book; if St Ives is where you want to be, stop scrolling book this place.
