Overall, this stay was deeply disappointing. For the price we paid, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this accommodation unless you are specifically looking to experience an old European apartment — and even then, with caution. Environment and Building Safety: The surrounding neighborhood felt dim and deserted, with few shops nearby, making returning at night feel unsafe. The building exterior is very old, and the elevator is tiny and outdated — with four Asian women and one man inside, it was already at full capacity, forcing us to transport our luggage in two trips. After reaching the fifth floor, we found the corridor railing inadequately secured and the floor uneven, which was very unfriendly for a companion with a fear of heights. Excessive House Rules: The host stated that, due to poor soundproofing, guests are not recommended to use the washing machine after 10 PM. This rule is extremely inconvenient and impractical for travelers, as we often return after this time, rendering this rule meaningless. The apartment’s facilities are generally outdated — even the keyhole was so difficult to operate that it created a stressful and unprecedented experience for us. Room Arrangement: We booked for five people expecting to stay in one unit, but in reality, we were assigned two separate neighboring units (a larger and a smaller one). This made communication and sharing items very inconvenient. This arrangement was not clearly disclosed at the time of booking, which caused great trouble for us as a family traveling together. Infrastructure Issues: We experienced a power outage simply from using the washing machine and turning on the lights. The bathroom lights failed so we couldn’t shower, and the washing machine stopped mid-cycle with clothes trapped inside.
