We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect and had everything we needed nearby. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always quick to respond. Communication was smooth and easy. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Location, cleanliness and the hospitality of the host

The apartment is situated on Via Plebiscito, one of the longest avenues in Catania, at almost 26 min by foot from Piazza dei Martiri (meeting point for a guide to Etna), 30 min from City Center and about 36 min from Bus Terminal on Via Archimede (for buses to Taormina, Siracusa etc.), at 1st floor in an old but renovated villa. It has everything you need, from a washing machine to a stove, towels, blankets etc. The owner, Dario, was really helpful and friendly, always available for us, gave us tips for exploring the city. 2 spacious bedrooms and a living room are more than enough for a family with 2 kids. The apartment is clean and has an interesting angel on the ceiling in the living room (therefore the name). The bakery downstairs has wonderful traditional products.

If you are a light sleeper you will need ear plugs. If you sleep in the bedroom facing the back of the building you wil hear the neighbours waking up at 5 AM and passionately arguing (as we discovered most italians do) and if you sleep in the red bedroom the traffic and horns (italians are also passionate drivers and like to start the day really early in the morning) will most likely wake you at an untimely hour. Also, as you get further from the city center, the streets are really dirty, the trash is placed next to the street poles in trash bags for the waste collectors to retrieve in the morning and are often left open, leaving napkins, cans and diapers on the sidewalk.

Very clean, very spacious, lots of shops in the area. I highly recommend
