Casa Del Marlin - Your Beach Retreat on Galveston Island, TX

it was a super lovely room...might have been a bit too cosy if it was a whole family but i think it was such a lovely space for 1-2 adults

just be aware not to leave anything valuable in the room as building staff can enter at any time for things like pest inspections or to conduct repairs

Casa retreat was so cozy . Perfect ocean front location!

I didn’t realize that there was a $40 parking fee for the complex until the instructions for check in procedures were given; However, that is the same for all who rent any of the apartments at the Casa Del Marlin Beachfront Apartments .

The suite decor was so lovely! Owner has good taste in style 👌. The kitchen had utensils and other kitchen accessories that aided in our cooking needs. We also loved the detailed rules and the bits of humor! Had us a good smile. I even took notes on the decor for inspo! Bathroom had towels for our whole group and 10/10 shower! Place was also super close to restaurants so we were able to nab a cooking free evening. We would love to book again in the future for a work free vacation 😀.

Place was great! Only issue that had us worried (not for us but for the owners property) was a small leak we found. We let owner know. Don't want their space to get damaged (or sus waterbill) Response was quick regarding it ❤️.

It was very cozy. Liked that the beach was only a short walk away. The host was very nice, and was very easy to get in touch with. There was an issue with one of the drawers in the kitchen, how ever we had reached out to the owners and got the issue solved quick! And she had sent us a Starbucks gift card for our troubles, and we really appreciated that!

This wasn't a huge problem, but It was a little smaller that what we were expecting. It was mainly just when we were trying to cook, since there was limited room in the kitchen.

Very cute little apartment. The facility had very nice pool options and walked out to the beach! This rental offered some beach toys and pool floaties my kids loved.

There was a window in our bedroom that faced the hallway; I feel like some darker curtains would really help. I like it to be very dark and unfortunately the hallway light came in some.

The condo was clean and we appreciated the snacks and coffee. Proximity to the beach was nice.

"Ocean view" left a lot to be desired. The rules were a bit exhausting. No space to hang wet towels and not allowed to be dried on the balcony. Our party consisted of three adults (three generations of women who were not sharing beds) and one 12 year old child. The bunk beds were smaller than a twin size and just barely big enough for the child to sleep in. There was no mention of that in the listing. Twin size would have been acceptable for an adult, but this was not. The pull out sofa bed was also the worst I've ever slept on- it was so thin and you could feel every bar underneath the mattress. Needless to say, only one person slept well in an actual normal bed. To top it all off, we weren't notified of the $40 a night parking fee charged by building management until we received check in instructions. The one night we were there, rain caused by a tropical storm completely flooded the parking lot (waist deep in the middle of the parking lot) and the building refused to refund anyone's parking fees, citing it was out of their control. Drainage in a parking lot located near a beach is 100% the property management company's responsibility, so this excuse was lame.

The apartment was decorated nicely. There were beach toys and chairs left for use, which was nice.

There were only 2 towels. You have to bring your own towels. The apartment smelled like mildew.

Lovely place right opposite the beach. We loved all the little thoughtful extras, like coffee pods, snacks, beach towels, beach chairs and more. The decor was lovely in seaside shades. We would definitely recommend. My kids loves the bunkbeds and tvs at the end of the beds.
