The location was great, within walking distance from the city center. Apart from the situation described below we enjoyed our stay and the apartment was cozy. It's good value for money.

First, the host asked us if we could check in a bit later as their usual cleaning lady was sick that day and they had to find a replacement. We totally agreed with the suggestion and arrived even 15 minutes later, unfortunately the replacement cleaning lady was still there and she was very slow but very nice to us. It took her some time before she left, so we lost some time we could have spent in the city, which we felt sorry for as we only had one evening to see it. The lady was apparently stressed by the situation as she forgot some clean sheets in the washing machine, we hung them outside on the dryer. Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work either, so we had to fix it ourselves, and the apartment was older than it looked on the pictures. Although the overall feeling was cozy, there were some cracks in the walls and the yard didn't quite match the pictures either, especially the opposite end that wasn't on the pictures. We wouldn't even bother to write a bad review about such petty things mentioned above, but what we really didn't like was the behavior of the host. We originally gave her 6 stars instead of 7, she got back to us on Booking apologizing for the situation and explaining that our review had lowered her overall rating significantly, which we were sorry for as our stay wasn't that bad. We canceled the original review and decided to write something less harsh, at the same time explaining to the host that we certainly couldn't give her 9 or 10 stars since our experience didn't match up to that many points. The host got angry with us and started texting us on WhatsApp that she had already apologized to us and that we shouldn't write the new review and that she would appreciate if we didn't write anything at all, which we found rude and unprofessional.

Near the city center, family atmosphere...

It's a comfortable apartment in perfect place to explore the old town on foot. Excellent value for money.
