The drain in the bathroom smells very bad. The curtains do not block the light at all, so the room is too bright in the morning. Soundproofing is extremely poor. The internet is basically unusable. The bed is way too soft and uncomfortable. Also, the floor heating increases by itself and is hard to control.

"Host sent rude and harassing messages after initial review"

It was spacious, came with three beds. Loved the location which was very convenient.

Only minimal toiletries were provided, and there was no floor mat, so the floor outside the bathroom got really slippery we almost slipped a couple of times. The stairs were also very uneven and steep and narrow I actually sprained my ankle because of that (just a warning for anyone who’s thinking of bringing elderly!) The window also couldn’t be closed completely because of the air conditioning pipe (we think), so it got quite noisy at night, especially when people walked past after drinking. Also, a lot of mosquitoes Another thing that really bothered me was the trash situation. We had to get the trash bags ourselves, but all the instructions were written in Korean. If it were someone’s first time in Korea, they might not even know they needed to buy the right bags from a convenience store and could risk getting fined. Edit: I initially rated this property 8/10 for its convenience and it wasn't actually that bad, but I later received a series of inappropriate and harassing messages from the host after posting my honest review. The messages included personal insults (e.g, calling us stupid, and if we were rich we would've stayed in a hotel instead) and even a comment about checking the CCTV footage of me and my friends, which felt like a serious invasion of privacy. I've attached screenshots for context, and while I wasn't entirely polite in response, the host was being disrespectful first. I'm sharing this so that future guests are aware. The accommodation itself was okay, but the host's unprofessional behavior after my stay made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

"Dringende Beschwerde – Rückerstattung wegen unzumutbarer Unterkunft"

Ich wende mich erneut mit großem Ärger und großer Enttäuschung an Sie. Seit dem 06.06. habe ich mehrmals versucht, über die Booking-App mit Ihnen in Kontakt zu treten, jedoch habe ich keinerlei Rückmeldung erhalten. Das ist absolut inakzeptabel und lässt mich an Ihrem Kundenservice stark zweifeln. Ich habe für eine Unterkunft bezahlt, die sich bei meiner Ankunft in einem katastrophalen Zustand befand – weit entfernt von dem, was in Ihrer App dargestellt wurde. Ich fühle mich betrogen, da die tatsächlichen Bedingungen unzumutbar waren und ich gezwungen war, dringend eine neue Unterkunft zu buchen, um überhaupt eine angemessene Bleibe zu haben. Ich fordere eine vollständige Rückerstattung des von mir gezahlten Betrags. Diese Situation hat mir nicht nur unnötige Kosten, sondern auch erheblichen Stress verursacht – und das alles wegen mangelnder Transparenz und fehlender Unterstützung durch Ihre Plattform. Ich erwarte eine umgehende Antwort und eine Lösung dieses Problems. Sollte ich in den nächsten Tagen nichts von Ihnen hören, sehe ich mich gezwungen, weitere rechtliche Schritte in Erwägung zu ziehen.

1. Wir waren stets höfliche und zivilisierte Gäste an allen Orten, an denen wir übernachtet haben, und hatten keine Absicht, an diesem Ort Probleme zu verursachen. 2. Am Nachmittag des 06.06, als wir eingecheckt haben, haben wir die Klimaanlage nicht eingeschaltet. Gegen 23:30 Uhr sind wir zurückgekommen und wollten die Klimaanlage einschalten, da haben wir festgestellt, dass eine der Klimaanlagen nicht funktioniert (wir haben ein Video an Booking geschickt). Sie hat überhaupt nicht funktioniert. 3. Im Zimmer mit zwei Betten haben wir eine Anleitung für die Warmwasserbereitung und die Fußbodenheizung gesehen, die vom Gastgeber an die Wand gehängt wurde. Wir haben die Anweisungen befolgt, aber es hat nicht funktioniert, und wir dachten, es sei defekt. Wir haben sogar auf YouTube nach Lösungen gesucht und alles ausprobiert, bevor wir den Gastgeber kontaktiert haben. Wir haben 4–5 Mal über WhatsApp angerufen (Screenshots der Anrufe wurden an Booking gesendet) und eine Nachricht über Booking geschrieben, aber keine sofortige Hilfe erhalten. Der Zustand des Hauses war sehr schlecht – gefährliche Steckdosen, der Boden … (Fotos wurden an Booking gesendet). Am Ende haben wir eine neue Unterkunft gebucht, weil wir zu frustriert waren. Selbst wenn die Geräte später wieder funktioniert haben sollten, kann niemand vor Ort beweisen, dass sie tatsächlich repariert wurden. Ich werde nicht weiter diskutieren, da ich bereits zu viel Zeit verloren und eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung gemacht habe. Ich habe alle Probleme bei Booking gemeldet. Vielen Dank.

跟家人一起去的,临行前随手定的,没想到还挺不错的,距离地铁站很近,去弘大购物街和机场都非常方便,房子虽然有一点点小,但是干净整洁,房间居住很舒适。

插座有一些松动,容易接触不良

Overall, the airbnb was value for money. We really liked the location, although tucked away in a rather shady alley, as it is a nice stroll to the bustling area of Hongdae. The beds were also very comfy and the house was clean.

As previously mentioned, the Airbnb is quite affordable. However, this comes at the cost of convenience—it's located about a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest train station, depending on your pace, and the route is uphill. The unit itself is on the third floor, accessible only by a set of narrow, uneven stairs that seem poorly constructed. This was especially challenging for us, as we visited during the rainy season and had large luggages. We also found the host to be rather frugal with basic amenities such as bath towels, toilet paper and even trash bags (0 provided). The apartment is situated in a somewhat questionable alley, and while there is a metal gate for security, it's not very effective—you can easily reach behind it to unlock it. Unfortunately, the host didn’t explain how to open it, so we were left figuring it out in the rain. Overall, we would recommend this Airbnb primarily to male travelers due to the conditions and security concerns.
