The House @ Sitwell Arms Hotel

House was very spacious, clean, and well equipped. The beds were comfy, and loads of storage we would definitely recommend this property.

Only one single oven for such a large house so made it difficult to cook for 10 people. Pool table was in a small room, not big enough to play properly.

The house was spectacular. We all had enough room to eat, drink, and play

We couldn't sit out on the front because there was a wedding in the hotel.

Lovely big house and very comfortable. Hot tub was lovely and my two teenage son’s had a whole floor to themselves with the massive bedroom/room.

Lots of little things and some tlc required to keep this house lovely. Missing keys, doors not shutting without force applied, no lock on bathrooms, stair rail loose, bulbs missing etc. All little things that make a big difference.

The property is very spacious with a surprisingly large private garden with swings and a slide which was great for kids.

Weddings held in the building less than half a meter away from the house, extremely loud until late. House could do with a bit of maintenance, light hanging out ceiling, Dishwasher was broken, Toilet seat completely broken and it pinched and injured my mother’s leg when she sat on it. Hot tap in one bathroom completely lose and broken. Some areas very poorly finished. Only one bathroom was given a bath mat, one bedroom was not given any towels. No lightbulb in some of the bedside lamps. No remote to the upstairs TVs. Curtains let a lot of light in, not blackout. Top bedroom has big round roof windows with no blinds or way to block the light so impossible to sleep. The kitchen is not very well equipped, the fridge was tiny (for a 5 bed house?!) kitchen knives completely blunt, can and bottle opener the cheapest you could imagine, the scissors handle broken in half, no basics provided eg no washing up liquid, salt/pepper mills, sugar jar were in cupboard but empty

We would have liked to have been informed that the decking out of the front room over looking the lake was rotten and had a sign saying could not be used , there was some decking over the other side of the house we used looking over a garden that needs some attention and a building that needs taking down as was falling down ! In one of the bedrooms we were unable to use the en suite as it had a leak on to the "Snooker " room which was to small to use the cues with out hitting the walls! The fan in our bathroom needs attention as was so noisy so dare not put on in night. Some of the lamps did not have bulbs in . On arrival i had to empty the outside ashtrays and wash the outside tables down. We can say we had beautiful weather and a lovely meal at the hotel next door. The house is really big and we used the hot tub a lot .
