Alder Pod, Clay Bank Huts

Ik vond de pod vrij krap, wc unit is buiten , de douche ook, maar voor de douche moet je betalen, dat vind ik niet ok

Lovely peaceful place to relax & unwind at the end of our 3rd strenuous day hiking The Cleveland Way located close by. Although small inside the pods were cosy & very comfortable & had all the facilities 2 of us required to prepare food. Fresh ingredients for breakfast delivered in a whicker basket included bread rolls, eggs & a whole chilled pineapple. A separate shower & loo cabin was a few steps away. Choose a Shepherds Hut if you want your own ensuite.

The bed was comfortable and room was nicely decorated.

Had to pay for showers, and this was not included in the stay price (extortionate as it was £2 for just 6 mins of water which was cold!!!) very disappointed with this after an extremely long hike. Canisters for camp cooker were both supplied with a tiny amount of gas left so were unable to boil water for a cuppa in the morning... "Campsite" was lacking, again had to pay for just the spot and shower facilities were extra. Forced to vacate the empty field at 10am while packing up our tent for "cleaning to take place" despite it being a patch of grass..? Rude host.

Beautiful surroundings , well equipped and spotless clean spacious hut Shower room and toilet block were a very high standard and spotlessly clean Hosts went out of their way to make us welcome and gave us information to make our stay comfortable

Everything was spot on

Very clean and comfortable pod. Lovely friendly owners. Very helpful. I was wary of a shower and toilet block pre stay, but again they were warm and clean. They were so much better than I had expected .
