Maitai River Romance - in Town

Comfort and warmth in the place and also the location was perfect for us,nice quiet neighbourhood and the walk to town was beautiful

Vacuum didn’t work which was the only thing I didn’t like as I love cleaning up after my kids

Delightful, slightly quirky house with strong hints of the 1970s about it in terms of some of the decor and furnishing. Great size, very well-equipped, fantastic driveway parking and a brilliant location within a couple of minutes walking distance of the centre. Nice seating area to the front of the property that is surprisingly private. Very comfortable bed upstairs (the one we used).

Two very minor things. Firstly we were not keen on the shower which is over a small bath and has a shower curtain all the way round. It works fine, but is just not what we like. Secondly we could not find any info at the property about what to do with recycling etc. If there isn't such a thing, a one-sided sheet of A4 with a bit about the house would be helpful. But it is a minor point.

Loved the location. Walking distance to city. Loved the retro look.

Master bedroom upstairs had a lovely view. House was spacious and well equipped. Nice and comfy feeling about it.

Comfortable and tidy. Enjoyed the funky retro decor. Great beds and pillows. 2 toilets were handy. Great location.

Needed a few things like body soap in the shower and some milk (after such a long drive into Nelson from Christchurch, had to go back out to the market to get them, which was a drag). Otherwise great ammenities.

Great location by the river. Easy walking distance from the town centre.

the internet was unplugged and we struggled to get things going - didn't notice because of the two black plugs and thought it was plugged in. It wasn't - we needed to swap plugs. When we rang for help it was forthcoming and we soon had things going. Had difficulty with the new type tv and couldn't find the news. Some instructions would have been good.
