The Plough Inn & Cottages

Excellent restaurant and a hearty cooked breakfast. Pleasant location in the lovely village of Scalby. A good starting point for the long distance Tabular Hills/Cleveland Way walk.

Strangely, the radio had been left loudly on in one of the adjacent rooms even though it wasn`t occupied and was clearly audible. It was eventually turned off by a member of staff at the second time of asking.

The bathroom has exceeded my expectations - very clean, plenty of towels and cosmetics provided. Generally speaking, the room was very cosy and stylish. Number of additional pillows is definitely a plus.

Air con and a desk were missing.

The breakfast and food in general was excellent

This is a gem. Stayed in the cottages. Number 20. Amazing. The food and service in the pub were great

Breakfast was not included so can’t comment - we ate in the restaurant, the Sunday dinner was delicious.

For £320 a night breakfast should have been included

High spec, clean, well presented. Warm and welcoming on arrival

Central heating was quite noisy upstairs

Great facilities, close proximity to The Plough!

Little to nothing - only slight issue was that we could hear the guests next door late into the night.
