IT WAS CONVENIENT TO THE COLLEGE

THE PLACE NEEDED A GOOD CLEANING. THE RUGS WERE BLACK INSTEAD OF OFF WHITE. THE PAINT WAS CHIPPING AWAY. IT JUST LOOKED RUN DOWN.

This house was filthy. Stained sheets with hair in them. Floors not vacuumed. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Had a 2 day stay and checked in at 10p. left at 10 AM. Owner told me to change the sheets that there were clean ones in the closet. Now they are refusing to compensate me for any of this stay. Absolutely, the worst and filthiest place I have ever stayed.

Location and space

It was not cleaned. The 1st night of my stay I was unable to sleep in the bed due to it not being clean. After pulling the sheets back there was a lot of long red hairs under the sheets, there was hair in the sink as well as the shower and on the toilet . I informed the contact and they replied they would show the pictures to the cleaning company. I ended up washing all the sheet and blankets so I could sleep the next night. I ask about how I could compensate and they never replied

The property was in a good location to check out Dayton, Fairborn, and even Columbus. Easy to find and accessible.

The living area and the kitchen were just fine. The beds and linens could have been cleaner.

1. The townhouse was spacious 2. The two beds were reasonably comfortable 3. The TVs were enormous 4. There were lots of coffee pods and a coffee machine 5. There were sufficient plates and cutlery 6. The aircon worked well

1. There were no bath towels laid out for our use. I found one on the bathroom towel rail that I could only presume had not been used before. My travelling companion found one in a cupboard in his bedroom. 2. There were lights that weren’t working in the bathroom making it difficult to shave – the light globes should be replaced. 3. The downstairs toilet was leaking water onto the floor (see photo). It should be repaired. 4. The kitchen was not adequately equipped: • There were no tea towels • There were no glasses for drinking at all • There was only one coffee mug and one tea cup • There was no toaster • There was no kettle to boil water for a cup of tea • There was no cutting board 5. We had some difficulty checking in as there were insufficient instructions in the emails. The host could have advised that we needed to contact him beforehand for obtaining the door code. We expected that someone would meet us on site as we’d agreed we’d arrive between 4 and 5pm. There was no one there and there was a keypad so it was clear we had to try to call the host. That was difficult as, like many visitors to the US, we don’t have a US sim card for voice calls, only data. If he had noted in the instructions that he had WhatsApp and we would have called him on that straight away. After a while we got onto him on WhatsApp and he then asked us to send him a photo of my driver licence on WhatsApp for identity reasons. I don’t like sending my driver licence info to people I haven't met but I understand he needs to check who he's letting in and as it’s the only way we could get inside I did. He then sent us the code for the door. It then worked fine. So it's just a matter of changing the procedure slightly and improving the communication. Then gaining access would be easy. 6. The front door keypad lock was a bit loose and moved around. It looked like it had been changed at some time but hadn't been fixed on properly. It worked but it was a bad look.

Parking, convenient location, enough room for family. There are some bice added features like touch lamps with USB ports, a few snacks, some toiletries.

The unit is in need of a deep clean. The carpets, walls and baseboards have stains and marks that make it feel dirty. Several kitchen drawers were broken. Towels and linens were just kind of tossed on the shelf in the closet.
