Our stay at the Carondelet Condos 1640 Clio St #202 was amazing!!! The team at The Carondelet Condos-Hospitality NOLA Management Team exceeded the expectations and requests we made. Facilities were clean and bedrooms were wonderful! Very close to WW2 museum which my family loved, and condo is right above "Mais arepas" where you can indulge in Colombian cuisine, DELICIOUS!!! I traveled to New Orleans to attend business meetings, conventions and receive an award from ANNA (American Nephrology Nurses Association). I'm from Oahu, Hawaii and haven't been to New Orleans before and had to do some research to make sure I did not book a location that was questionable for my family and I to stay. If I have another opportunity to come back to New Orleans whether it be for vacation or for business, I would book this place a thousand times over! Thank you for making our stay a memorable one. Shout out to the NOLA management team and to the property manager, you guys are awesome!!!

"Disappointed"

3.0

Spacious rooms

We found the apartment to be quite dirty and the games table sticky. There were paint marks in the bath and the kitchen. The tap in the main bathroom sprayed water everywhere, most of the shower heads did not work, and the apartment was missing essential amenities such as hand soap and knives and forks. There were no shelves/surfaces on which to put toiletries whilst in the shower. We also did not expect the third bedroom to be in a separate apartment from the two other bedrooms.

"The city is gritty, place isn't the cheapest, and they can afford to keep their guests safe"

3.0

The property itself is very lovely, well decorated and the owners are very responsive. It actually looks like a boutique hotel so if you like "off the beaten path" this could be a great place for you, the neighborhood is also very INDUSTRIAL. However, the homeless population is very prevalent. They seemed to mind their business but if you arrive at night you might think you are in like a Gotham City. Choice between the Marriott and this place, the rooms here look better and are much quieter but unfortunately we had to stay at the Marriott for safety concerns. If you've been to NOLA before this probably is a great spot because you already know what that town has to offer and hopefully the owners will get the window locks fixed.

If you are expecting New Orleans, LA to be like say a Charleston, SC... IT IS NOT. It is definitely gritty and coming from a NYer that is saying something. There are a TON of homeless people on this street which could be a turn off especially if you arrive in the evening but they seemed to mind their business. SO FIRST TIMERS BEWARE... The big box hotels are on Canal Street but that place is gritty looking too. My MAJOR COMPLAINT IS the owner takes for granted that everyone is used to the Gotham City grit of NOLA AND DID NOT HAVE WORKING WINDOW LOCKS IN ABOUT 80 % of the property. You could also see they knew locks were broken bc there were some that were makeshift fixed in windows with the fire escapes. The plus is when we complained, the maintenence people were called immediately and were pleasant but they proceeded to drill all the windows shut rather than using a temporary fix that if there was a fire we could at least get out. Weighing a break in vs dying in a fire, we left to another hotel but now the owners are refusing to return our money and we left less than an hour after the maintenance people.
