"Poor Host"

Location

The experience with the host was horrible right from day one. I was asked to go to a shop to pick up the keys to the apartment. I struggled to find the location, and the host couldn't be bothered to come down or send someone to help; eventually, I found the place. Then there was the apartment, which looked good but needed to be better cleaned. I had to vacuum the rooms again and clean under the toilet seats. The en-suite bathroom shower tap was broken, so we had to use the main one. However, two things that were the ultimate letdown were when the host needed something from the apartment and said he could let himself in despite my objecting; he finally accepted. After checking out, I was another warfare getting the deposit back. The host, who originally said he would refund me when I initially paid the money, said he needed to remove £65 for cleaning. I had to go back to my Booking.com confirmation to show him the evidence that this was already charged with the Booking. It was not until I got Booking.com customer service involved that the host decided to give me a full refund. An apology was not provided for the unprofessional and uncouth conduct.
