"So much potential, but falls short by a long way."

Stunning, breath taking views from the house! Really beautiful! Large gardens around the property. Reasonably well equipped kitchen but with caveats. Three of the four bedrooms well presented and spacious. (Lovely master bedroom). The fourth ground floor bedroom, less so. Appreciated the en-suites and a bath for the children. Attractive, well presented spacious living room, with a large dining table. Comfortably accommodated our large family group: 6 adults; 2 small children and a 4 month baby. Attractive outside terrace, with a table that comfortably seated eight adults. Very friendly care takers, who kept in touch and were responsive. Parking for three cars.

We experienced many problems, some of which were promptly resolved by Emma Villas, who were proactive with our complaints, including sending out an agent to verify our issues. (Others could not be resolved, during our stay). However, have not had any response from them, since returning home, which is disappointing because they were so quick off the mark to help, and we did feel fully supported). We were ‘sold’ the villa, largely on the pictures of the pool and pool area. It seemed too good to be true, but the villa was expensive £7000 for one week, so accepted the photos at face value. The reality, upon arrival, sadly, was very different. There were four sun loungers, not eight; the two sun umbrellas were I broken. (Temporarily fixed, by the caretaker, who is lovely, but broke subsequently when it was left up and the wind picked up. Not fit for purpose). The care taker delivered two extra beds and three armchairs. All a bit ramshackle, but we were grateful that we could, at least be together around the pool. The lovely lounge furniture, shown in the pictures was missing. (We felt, on booking, that this would be perfect for our 4 month old grand child, providing essential shade). We actually found it broken in a shed at the bottom of the garden. An additional, portable bbq, advertised in the house details, was apparently stored in the shed, but there was evidence of rat poison, so didn’t venture in there. The door was unlocked. (Photos available. Seen / verified by the agent) The paved pool area was unkempt and overgrown with grass. However, more worryingly there were live wires exposed, at the base of the pool side light, by the bottom step. Photo available.Seen / verified by agent). This wasn’t the only electrical issue. The bedside light socket in the ground floor bedroom, was broken and covered in black tape. (Seen and verified by the agent) The extractor in the kitchen didn’t work and the electric oven took an hour to come to temperature.
