Clarification: The negative review is not about the apartments themselves, but rather about their management/administration. Three of us booked an apartment through Booking.com, but the company's private number told us to change the apartment due to "technical errors." To our surprise, we suspected that the original apartment seemed to have been occupied by other people during our stay. The apartment itself was well-maintained and well-located. We found hair on the floor and in the bathroom shower, but nothing that couldn't be swept up. The main complaint came when, while we were in the apartment with other guests who helped us settle in, we were on the terrace at 7:00 PM, playing cards with (low-key) music, and the manager banged on the door due to a supposed noise complaint from the neighbor, stating that we should ALL leave the apartment because we couldn't accommodate more people than the number on the reservation. We clarified that they were colleagues who had helped with the move and that they were NOT going to stay; they were just visiting and would leave if the management bothered them. The point came when he verbally assured us that he had monitored our entry and exit from the apartment at all times using the cameras in the common areas and that what we were doing was illegal. In our understanding, recording the entry, exit, and private lives of guests violates the data protection law (LO 3/2018 art. 22, LOPDGDD) without any substantiated suspicion of criminality (and even so, the person who should handle it is the relevant authority). I emphasize that they made it clear to us that hosting more people than the reservation (meaning overnight stays) was prohibited, which we understand and respect. However, the consequences of this policy were not reflected at any time on the booking page at the time of booking, and that was never our intention.

The apartment is very spacious and light. Great to see city council, palms and mountains from the window. It is very fresh, has nicely equipped kitchen and definitely great value for money. Also extremely responsive and nice hosts. We also appreciated that it is in Agaete town (not on the seaside), because in this way we could observe and immerse ourselves in a town-life. Amazing bakery few steps away (still dream to go back and have breakfast there :))!
