By the Beach Duplex Apartment, Armacao de Pera, Algarve - Portugal

Really lovely place with a perfect location. Parking spot provided in garage below. Convenient big shop, Lidl, just a 5-minute walk away. Lots of restaurants close by to choose from. Plenty beaches within walking distance. Beach towels, umbrellas, and other beach items provided. Nice to have a dish washer and washing machine. Lovely big balcony with all doors leading out onto balcony. Host provided a bowl of fruit, ice tea and wine. All rooms had aircon which was lovely. Host kindly allowed us to have a couple hours late check out.

Initial communication was a bit challenging working through the app, stood outside the apartment for an hour waiting to be let in after being told to be there at a certain time. However it was explained that the lady letting us in was sick. Unfortunately some dishes were dirty and we had to re-wash them. Unable to drink any water from the taps, would be nice to have had a water filter. Minimal toilet rolls and dish washing pods provided, no spare bin bags, had to buy our own.

It was a very spacious modern apartment with everything you could want or need. Beach towels and beach umbrellas were also supplied which was great. It was spotlessly keen. The location was a short walk to the beach and there were plenty of great value restaurants to choose from. It was very spacious so any of our group could easily have privacy if required. There is air conditioning which was very welcome as hot weather during our stay. A very lovely holiday which we all enjoyed. Everyone loved the apartment and we felt we made a good choice.

The apartment’s location and facilities were exceptional, being less than a block from the beach, with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and a bucket and spade provided. Also, the apartment was spacious and well-appointed, and the building’s lifts were excellent.

Apartment is really close to the beach, and also shops and cafes. It was easy to get there and it was really nice to have a parking included. Apartment has everything one may need to cook and to live. We enjoyed the terrace. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable.

To be fare it is a bit outdated, but we came for the ocean not to sit inside the house all day, so we did not care.
